anyone else hate halloween this year?

I've never seen such a mix of people complaining about how easy this is... and others how hard it is. I'm going to guess it's the divide between freemium and premium? Since the premium kids help a lot.

The only thing I really hate is crafting, especially crafting old decorations! Why would we want to do that? I want to buy new decorations with my money I save up. Also, the endless supply of tents and walls, why would I want a gazillion tents? At least change it up every 10 upgrades or so. Other than that, I'm enjoying it, especially all the free donuts.

Only thing I dislike is the lack of new characters. We didn't get one single new playable character this year. 1 NPC & a bunch of skins.

With the amount of Treehouse of Horror characters that there are, I'm surprised we didn't get any. I'm still crossing my fingers that we end up getting the House of Evil Shopkeeper as a playable character at the end of the challenges. That would be great

The only thing im disliking is how much its dragging. Conpleted act two days ago and why is it necessary for act three to start days after actual Halloween?

Otherwise i think its by far the easiest event that i can remember for a long time, especially with some of the grinding events we've had this year!

the only thing I'm liking is the free donuts! I'm freemium but at top level and I have so much currency its not worth bothering anymore. Plus of course now no nightmares are spawning so I have a six hour wait till task 2 starts. The only reason to visit neighbours is to drop off purple things and I've given up collecting any dropped on me as I don't need the currency and if they are not going to drop candy there is no point wasting time chasing them.

Yes, it's been pretty awful. Not that it's been hard (it hasn't), but it's been incredibly boring and the crafting items suck. It would have been better to craft some of the premium skins, sinc they certainly aren't worth the huge amount of donuts. Also, if you've been playing awhile, there was very little to work for. Yes' I like the campfire, tents, and Gateway to Nowhere, but not much else. How many walls, trees, hedges can I fit in my town, especially since I am already getting the warning of doom on too many objects?

This is the most boring event in a long time ..... Having to purchase halloween skins is just horrible.

It barely feels like halloween. The only benefit is the big % bonus from crafting the wailing walls ... but it looks like Act 3 has messed that up.

Worst Halloween ever! So, so, so, bad. Slow and boring with nothing new. They're bringing back all the old stuff for all the people who are new. the only new items for long term players are fences we can't use because of the stupid limit on items!!! Breaking up into acts is the worst idea ever. Act three after Halloween is even worse. Then nothing of any interest again! Oh you can craft more new stupid fences we can't decorate with because we have already hit the item limit. What is the fist part of the quest? Hmm, lets send 5 characters on an 8 hour task we ave already done a hundred times already. Gee, thanks, EA. You have officially killed the best part of your game, Halloween. Borrrrrrrrrrrring!

This is the main problem for me. It's just not spooky, creepy, weird or anything else connected to Halloween enough.

The year we had the spooky fog and the real Halloween atmosphere was the best. If you didn't know it was a Halloween event, this could have been anything in all honesty.

I'm inclined to agree. I miss the simplicity of the older events - a prize board, a few community prizes and maybe some crafting, if we must.

The ghosts of Halloween 2013 were my favourite.

Events these days seem to drag on forever and it's barely a fortnight between one ending and the next starting.

Also irritating that I have a town of about 100 characters, yet it's always the same ones I need for everything. Can we not have a few more people available to recycle items if you're going to take Marge, Homer, Lisa, Bart, Milhouse, Martin, Burns etc away on event tasks?

I don't hate it - loving the 20 free donuts a week and my multiplier % has jumped up an insane amount.

As far as content goes, though, it's been nothing exciting and most of it is in storage (or will be).

I wouldn't say I HATE the Halloween event this year but it definitely doesn't feel as dynamic or fun as years past. I'm grinding away to unlock the new prizes but haven't been too engaged in the event beyond that.

Yes and with all the glitches it's not worth playing this game any more, I will never buy donuts again it's just a waste of hard earned money :evil:

pretty disappointed in the prizes ESPECIALLY the campfire ..i really dont need all those tents and sheds..the bushes, eh ...the build prizes kinda suck..one good per set but the buildings do nothing

The free donuts are pretty much the only good thing about this event.

It really is crappy, such a disappointment.

I had gripes about last year but the trick or treating, treat bags, prizes were great. Interesting storyline as well.

EDIT: free Kodos is certainly a +, but lost in sea of - - - - IMO.

I'm definitely not hating it. The donuts are great, and I finally have Kodos!! But I have been disappointed with Act III so far. I will give it the benefit of the doubt though, and see how it unfolds.
