Campfire Upgrade Tips post M'nthster?

You're accumulating nightmares from hunting night mares in brown houses, from the gateway, and from neighbor visits. As well as any premium Halloween features you may have which spawn, like mausoleums and pet cemeteries.
When i visit neighbors, i check which nightmare i need first, then only collect those. I save my limited taps. I'm now 25 sleletons away from.level 40.
Happy tapping!

I'm not sure the campfire upgrades have any effect in Act 3 considering nightmares no longer spawn. As such, campfire upgrading is pretty moot.
I haven't seen any nightmares in neighbors' towns since Act III began-- just spawns.
Maybe his neighbors haven't played for several days. If the town is inactive, the campfire still spawns whatever it was spawning when they played last. So that's what 4j3k sees when visiting them.. Most of us see inactive neighbors as a liability. This is a benefit.
According to the great information LPN has given us, there are no more daily tasks that require upgrading the campfire.
Yesterday I got 'caught up' and had nothing to do for a couple of hours so I decided to do my Friend Actions for the first time in a couple of weeks (other than dropping FTs I mean).
Going through my neighbor's towns I found towns with only Starspawn, towns with only Nightmares, and a few towns with both Starspawn and Nightmares.
I don't think I tapped any Nightmares in towns with Starspawn though. I didn't notice them until I after I'd tapped the third Starspawn (Snakes are hard to see).
I was hoping not too, then I saw this thread:
