I sent Bart to the brown house but also no skeletons

Have you tried going to Krustyland and back before tapping out the kids?

How about immediately after tapping out the kids, but before tapping anything else?

Maybe force quit the game before tapping out the kids.

That's all I can think of right now.

You're not alone. This glitch hit me and every iDevice player I know.

The normal fixes work, but not even half the time.
Create a separate brown house for just the skeleton generating characters (outside the tap radius of the first).
Close app completely before launching.
Visit krustyland before tapping.
Clear as many holiday tap items as possible as often as possible, and try and have houses clear before hand.

Do all this and it works maybe 33% of the time.

I know this glitch broke the event for many people before the end of week 2.

I know this method is tedious and not completely effective.

Be warned: I've watched skeletons disappear before I could tap them with this method.

If wadebear's advice doesn't work for you (it does the trick a lot of the time! ) ... Then go look in the "skeletons available at my town' thread. I have ten skeleton towns ... They're listed in the fifth post in that thread. (And a really important rule about deleting them after you get your skeletons! )

I check them for new invites frequently (but not constantly) so send invites to as many towns as you need to get your 30.

I'm not getting any skeletons either, and almost no bunnies. Pretty much all zombies and snakes.

I rushed the Mausoleum, the twins and Database and nothing. They all give Zombies.

Squished some in neighbouring towns and they didn't count. But I did complete task #3, whatever that was.

I got mine by just sending the kids who spawn skeletons to the brown house.

I've been following wadebear's tip about NOT tapping the Star Spawns and letting them fill up the town before releasing the kids from the brown house. It's worked every time so far. I get all the skeletons I'm expecting. They just take several minutes to show up unlike the zombies and bunnies that show up immediately.

Send Bart and database to separate brown house than the rest. When done tap ONLY that house. Open shoekeeper task menu tapping icon in top right corner. Tap "Do it" and presto you will be taken to 4 skeletons. Repeat as needed. I finished the quest this morning

Went to brown house, set kids to spawn skeletons, 4 hour wait, made sure town was totally devoid of spawn before I tapped the brown house, number of skeletons = ZERO

it appears ea is listening.....

for some reason all of a sudden i had at least 30 skeletons in my town.....something i had not seen in weeks...ty.......

NOW....is there anyway you can you fix the M'nthster to return to the sunken temple.......
