I'm a touch over 200 million on mine. When I first hit level 30 and was able to start SH I worked on it pretty hard until I managed to get my full 50 level 1 buildings and then got one of each of the 5 types to level 5 to get rid of all the get building type up to level whatever tasks out of my task book. Since then I've taken it easier. When I have a spare 25 or so minutes I squeeze in one awards, 2 pills, 3 mats plus how ever many electronics, coffee, furniture I manage to get done in that time.

Unless your opponent is fast and steady. Unless you're slow, steady, and cheat better.

I'm sitting at around 100 million, but I stopped playing Springfield Heights a long time ago. I only played until I unlocked all the land it offered. Just too much work for stuff I don't really care about (except Rich Texan's Daughter)

But I love all the extra land :P

Finished mine just before the Halloween event. Made a big push to do it before the event to free up characters that would undoubtedly be needed for that event.

It's long and drawn out, but just stick with it and completing SH will be achievable. You have to learn to block off all those little distractions: your job, your wife, your kids... your personal hygene...

I'm having a blast in SH in my MAIN town. I'm not making progress toward the big SH prizes, but I love the area, and the craftable objects are a great addition to our inventory. I LOVE that the decorations from SH can be used in SF, because those gates, fences and trees add some great options. :)

I even love the styles of the shop, theater, gym, and Institute of Technology. That Pharmacy building makes me crazy, though. The others seem to "belong" in SH. The Pharmaceutical thing is so ugly, and spews out that smoke, and I hate even the rooftop of it. I tried to hide it in my main Springfield way in a back corner of SF itself. Behind my King Kong Building and big Springfield prison but it still shows up behind them. For me, it made no sense (stylewise) to include a building like that as part of an introduction for an upscale area like SH. It could have been nicer to look at. Plus, I can't imagine a RL pharmaceutical factory putting out that much smoke. (There's a joke in there somewhere)

Maybe one dose of SH is enough for any sane person?

I agree about the factory - doesn't belong in SH. In my main town I've made a bit of an indusrtial estate with the pill factory (inhale that lovely smoke, it's bound to be good  ), steel mill etc. the decos are great and it's nice to have some other options. I am addicted to the little potted plants.... Perhaps that's because I only have to look at a potted plant in RL to kill it

And you've very nicely proved the point that it doesn't matter how long it takes (unless you've sold your soul...... ). It's not going any anywhere and it shouldn't be a chore. So anybody who isn't enjoying it, my advice is to stop for a bit. It'll still be there next week, month, year etc. the world won't stop turning and life's too short :D

You're calling me insane AGAIN, aren't you?!
I have got to 1 billion in my race-to-the-finish town (yes I sold my soul to Annette too! ) but I am enjoying SH more in my main town, where I have just over 600 million. Each time I log in to my main, I just do 5 to 10 minutes on SH doing the shorter tasks, but it's surprising how quickly you can accumulate materials. I too like 'buying' items from the shop to decorate my town. Just take things at your own pace, there is really no rush to finish!

Still slowly grinding out SH to get the final prize. I love that there is no deadline. Aslo just got krusty oil rig for 8mill.. I am broke now and I am planing on earing another 25mill eventually so I will have all the aspriational buildings. I am glad they have given us this in the game as it gives us something to work on when were on the max level earning free doghnuts and have down time from finishing event earily. THANK YOU EA!

I havent, nor will i grind at springfield heights. I've got the first two prizes and i'm just taking my time, i don't do it daily/weekly i have no agenda, I do it for about 30 minutes as/when i can be bothered, i just see it as work in progress but i'm not going to get stressed about it, the best thing they EVER did was put no deadline on this, its made it much more fun, because I'm not getting bored with it.

    :)

Yes! I've got Paris working at the strip club now, as was always her destiny. Methodology: park a red sportscar in front of the nudie bar and send her to pose for papparazzi there.

I don't mind SH, but I think we need more land :D to make it look nice. But, I admit, I decorate a lot!!

But I got bored with the monorail, so that is in storage. Would like to do something with a Krysty Burger, an the Krusty Station parts, but I havn't figured out what yet.

I'm working on mine for the first time since Haloween began. I just work on it when I really have nothing else to do and don't worry too much about it. There's no rush for me. I would like more land, though, for designing purposes. :)

I was going to post a new thread asking about this, but I figure this thread is here and I might as well use it!

What is the most efficient way to get to the ridiculous final prize? Is there a best method? I know there is a lot of grinding no matter what, but are there shortcuts or better things to build?

Mine is about half way. I have discovered that I get overly irritated when I spend too many things as it takes too long to refill, so my current strategy is one upgrade on a building, refill, then when I feel like it again do it again. I figure I will get it done eventually. If I think about needing thousands of pills I just get depressed. Also' I don't actually mind the 30 second task as I can usually get the furniture filled quite quickly and get those people back to work producing money. It's the pills and resulting never ending coffee that drive me nuts. I do like the decorations, and I hope that someday they make the buildings so that they can be set to any of the stages of development as I feel one really doesn't need ten skyscraper parking garages no matter how stylish they are.

Wow so much complaining. I'm not even at 100 million and frankly I don't care. It's too much of a grind. I'll do what I can when I can and just move on. I don't think I'll be hitting 1 billion anytime soon.

It sucked. I reached the billion a while ago (before the next event [Tap Ball?] started), and after I got Paris, I'm considering storing her (which I have never done for a playable character). Her 4 hour task requires the giant lake, and the haven is nothing too spectacular. Her 1 hour Walk the Dog task has her disappearing into the giant skyscrapers, so I have a hard time finding and collecting. Those who aren't there yet aren't missing much.
