Worst... Buy... Ever?

Prev1
Arnie Pye is the worst for me. I hate his helicopter tasks. He either walks the newshound or feasts at the Stonecutters Lodge now.

Best buy was Count Burns. That is my favorite THoH.

I don't know about the most worthwhile purchase, but the one I bitterly regret is buying the Column Mansion (Springfield Heights chandelier building). I cringe every time I see it.

I'm a freemium player and saved forever to get Lard Lad during last year's Black Friday event. I thought it just wasn't Springfield without such an iconic building. Soon after, Lard Lad was added as a Mystery Box prize. I now have 3 of them. :(

My favourite purchase was Santa's Village with Santa Homer skin. I love seeing him fly by on his sleigh! :D

Thanks everyone for your input… I like to learn from others' mistakes. (Sorry, I had meant to make it a poll originally, but my session timed out. It's a poll now)

For me, so far, it was upgrading the IRS building. I was just excited to have another option, but then they kept asking for more upgrades and it doesn't really help that much in collecting taxes.

Denise, I regret Lard Lad too! I now have 5 of him, three minnow ponds, and three itchy and scratchy signs!

Once it's built and you have received the retail points you no longer need the building. Now while you can't sell it just tuck it into your inventory and forget it. You won't lose anything by doing it. I stashed all but one of each

Ive always felt that BBM and Kearny were not worth the purchase. Mostly because of the lack of visual tasks.

When I was a newbie Tapper I was so excited to buy Santa's Little Helper........and then not so excited to discover the "joys" of the NPC.

The pirate ship, cost me 100 donut as a mistake purchase probably three years ago now, it's only recently I've put it behind me and fetched it out of storage to look like a tourist attraction on my squid port but my word I've held some major hate for that thing.

I also by accident bought the YMCA yesterday which wasted 85 of my donuts that I was saving for Christmas.... You'll laugh, I dropped my phone on my face (was laying in bed browsing the sale) and because there seems to be no warning on the sale buy BAM is bought it!!! What a twit!!!!! So right now although it's a building I eventually wanted, right now I'm angry with it

The hundred plus donuts I wasted on the krustyland mystery box, without a doubt. I knew it was overpriced, but the odds looked good. So good, I was surprised when I only got tickets the first time, I bought another, just knowing it would pay out that time. Or the next. Or the next. I bought four or five and only got tickets each time ><

Outside of that, Laura Powers. I knew the character wasn't voiced, so I was mostly getting her to have a different house for my little subdivision area of my town. D*mn house is twice as big as any of the others and I still haven't found a place to put it where it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb.

You may have managed to double tap when you dropped your phone. I still got the "are you sure you want to spend these donuts" message when I bought something in the sale yesterday.

i have 2 things regretted buying...

    1. Ferris Wheel... Most buildings are only available one. I thought it was a system glitch when it is available again after my first purchase, so I went ahead and bought a second Ferries Wheel. Little did I know that it's an unlimited regular building in TSTO menu. Sigh!

    2. Hover-copter... It was a prize for an event. I can't finish drafting it, so I spent 200-300 donuts to speed up the event to earn this prize. After the event ended, it was available for sale at less than 100 donuts.... Arghhhhh!

I regret buying the rabbit/mutant bart thing because the in-game text made it seem like this would be a very special item but the tasks suck

This Halloween, I bought the UFO, because I thought I needed it to get Kodos... it's cool, but pretty much a waste of donuts, since I didn't need it at all, and it's not very useful.

But I have to say my biggest regret is that for a long time, when I was first playing this game, I spent all the free donuts I got on speeding up jobs...
