Christmas Update - my town is destroyed!!

I have the same problem and I haven't found a solution yet.
We'll most likely have to wait for a fix update...

I had this glitch during the Easter 2014 event. I just left it and didn't contact EA which was a mistake as it took about a month to fix. Hope this helps!

I can't contact EA... IDK why.
How do I do it? I was on their website, but couldn't find ea email.

I am also experiencing this issue. The alpha layers are conflicting and need to be corrected. Have to bring the characters to front.

I have the same problem. PLEASE let me know if there is a solution. What I am doing now to help is a) select the move command (lower right screen corner - the four direction arrows) b) then freeze the buildings c) once you locate a merry maker go back the regular mode and tap on them where you last saw them. It is not a good fix but it works until the glitch is fixed.

You contact them through customer support, bottom right under help. Follow the prompts. If this dummy can figure it out, i'm sure all you smart cookies can to.

I spoke to EA today who said that it is a known issue and that they will be sending an update out soon that will fix it so hopefully all should be good soon

This is still going on in my game and this is twice in one year that I've not been able to play during a major event. So bummed. What's even more scary is that my neighboreenos can see it too. Has anyone had any luck with getting their game fixed by contacting ea or any other method? Thank you much.

Had this problem since Halloween update. I managed to fix my game by removing monorail pieces and it stayed fixed after I put the pieces back. Weird. Also noticed one of my neighbours had it too. He nuked his town. It looks fixed now so I guess it worked. Bit drastic I know! I tried to contact ea about it a while ago but they kept messing me about so I gave up. Hope you get it fixed because it looks rubbish.

Hey, I had this issue and I managed to get it fixed without nuking my town.

Check Sideshow Bob's rakes -> one of mine had managed to get placed illegally under my Monsarno building, once I got it moved my display problems fixed themselves

Thank you, I'm going to try it right now. I've tried just about everything but nuking as I can't find merrymakers because they're walking under buildings. Lol. Will let you know.

Update: it worked! Thank you, thank you, thank you! All I had to do was store all the rakes and immediately it was fixed and all the merrymakers came back. So cool that I can play my game again.
