Mother of all rendering glitches

this thread wouldn't be so confusing to me if it included the words "i tried a complete reinstall but it's still occuring".
yes, i've read several other threads in the last two days describing this exact issue. i don't know what helped them, if anything.

Thanks for your comment, 4junk3000. Not sure what was confusing, I thought I explained the situation rather succinctly.

Considered a reinstall, but having not ever had to take that step, thought it might be prudent to inquire as to whether others were experiencing a similar problem or not before making the move.

Curious? Do you always include a certain measure of derision with your responses, or did you make an exception in my case?

No, no exception. Derision is included in the package. No extra charge.

But would you like the protective undercoating with the response? That costs extra.

There are other threads reporting the same problem. Been happening for a while. Whatever the glitch is, it is embedded into your town. On your device and on the server. I've never read of a reinstall fixing the problem. Contact customer service to report the problem and hope that the developers are, or will be, working on a fix.

For this issue I have also read that if you have access to an IOS based device and can load your game up on that device then reload the game on your Android device it can solve this problem but as I've not had the issue myself I can't confirm if it works or not, it is just a fix that I came across when reading.

Many people had this problem last year (I'm sure I had it before last Christmas )
It was really annoying but really easy to fix
It use to affect just the android players, all you haveto do is log in from ios device. As simple as that.
Let me know did it work.

So what do you do if you play on an ios device and have this problem? I've tried removing monorail tracks, force closing the game, resetting ipad, reinstalling....now what??

only have iOS devices, tried logging out on original machine and back in on a different one. still glitching unfortunately

Honestly don't know, but perhaps the reverse is true? Try logging-in on an Android device.

The last time this glitch was showing up, it was only on Android. This one is showing up on Android and iOS. It wouldn't hurt to try the other OS, but I wouldn't expect a fix from it.

Definitely spoiling Christmas event and certainly doesn't encourage the spending or purchasing of donuts.

WOW! That's amazing. I just got this glitch after the newest update. I can see exactly what you mean. I have never encountered this before. I wonder if today's patch fix caused this for me?

I'm still suffering out here with the layering glitch amd occasionally the tapping one too. Even tried installing the new ios update to see if that would help. And nope.

Anyone think it has to do with the number of decorations?

I also have the same glitch. Tried un-install and re-install but nothing. Play ios no access to android. Curious will Samsung Galaxy S4 support this game?

This issue was also posted in the bugs section and a very nice person who had the same problem shared that they fixed it by storing the sideshow bob rakes. As soon as I did this, my town was immediately back to normal. I hope this helps others experiencing the same problem.

Awesome. Wonder if the rakes could have been responsible for the Monorail troubles as well?
