Forum is not really that helpful if you all are gonna be all secretive and Stonecutter about important stuff. If everyone never posts then how will we know about it??
Illuminati confirmed
Honestly, the forum is objectively helpful. People will answer your questions about (basic) gameplay and for me LPNs walkthrough are a must read every update/event.
Aidx explained the glitch a couple of posts above yours. You complete your daily challenge for donuts in your town, go to a friends town and click their daily challenge building, collect your prize, go back to your town and repeat.
As for glitches; People who aren't able to exploit feel like they're left out/missing out on something and there's no changing that. I can understand how it could rub someone the wrong way.
Then there are people who stumble across/find them and share it with people who they trust, which is understandable. I'm sure most people would do the same so the advantage could be kept as long as possible; I know I would.
I myself haven't gotten anything out of it since I'm a quiet tapper and don't mingle a lot. For people like me the hints on the forum are really the only way to gain an advantage like this and for this I'm grateful.
In the end we can't turn back time. Just keep an eye on the forum and grab what's in reach. Either way you're only able to gain donuts, not lose them.
I like this post. I like it a lot are you in the diplomatic corps?
I have been lucky enough to benefit from glitches and for that I say hurrah and thank you to the people who passed on the tip (you know who you are ). Equally, I have missed out on some. But, in the great scheme of things, it really doesn't matter. It's a game - I've got better things to worry about.
As for this latest glitch (or non-glitch now) we are still getting considerably more donuts each week than in times gone by.
Well, technically, if you had one 1-donut claim to collect, it was one donut every time you entered a friends town and found their bhig-box store anhd claimed your donut and returned to your town to sync it and re-entered the friends town for your next donut. Depending on the load time of your town and theirs, and how convenient the location of their big box store, the cycle could be completed about two to three times per minute. If your town is large and takes time to load, two per minute is an optimistic estimate.
So if by "infinite" you mean "120 per hour" then yes.
The tedious part was that you could do absolutely nothing else but stare at the spinning donut while waiting for towns to load and reload over and over... I know it sounds ludicrous to complain, because two free donuts a minute sounds truly awesome, but it was really really mind-numbing. For me.
By contrast, churning chairs at Springfield Heights --- which many here consider a "grind" -- gives 30 seconds of totally empty, free time, with no other actions required on your part.. During which one can, for instance, solve part of a sudoku puzzle on ones other device whilst waiting.
In the daily challenge situation, If you were lucky enuf to have a larger donut claim, it was better payout. But it was still more of a grind than I could handle for long stretches.
It sounds easier than the fans glitch. I have been having the worst luck buying scratchers, visiting neighbors, and getting donuts from these daily challenges. Even Sideshow You is long, long overdue. And I am almost out of donuts.
So just curious, how many donuts did people get during this Easter egg? And please add me into your pm list. I have tight mouth and am a good neighbor, thanks
This is probably the easiest place to ask:
Can we send mass messages through PMs? It would make it much easier when notifying people quickly about things like this. Right now what I do is copy and paste for each individual person, is there any faster way?

i would have loved an opportunity to exploit this while i've been busy working on the banner awards for the monorail contest. i missed out again.
i'm starting to think that more people may benefit a little, vs. only a few people benefiting a lot, if we just go ahead and announce these glitches so the word spreads faster.
it still takes them a certain amount of time to implement a fix. i'd rather have 1,000 people get 10 free donuts than only 100 people getting 100 free donuts.
it's not the fact that we didn't get the donuts, it's more the feeling that we're not popular enough of a forum member to be included in the secret knowledge. i'd rather include everyone and let EA scramble to seal their leak.
All my designs look unfinished because i can't place as many plants, streetlights, and fences as i would like. PLEASE REMOVE THE LIMIT, EA!
Everybody had the opportunity to use the glitch it was and still is posted. It was even entitled Daily donut challenge glitch. I found out this way, although later I was messaged by somebody else.
What were the terwiliger and fans glitch? Not sure I understood those ones. Somebody said they got thousands of donuts? Is it really possible? Did they retroact upon it? It must be enough to buy up all the premium characters and buildings in the store then? Did anyone get thousands this time again? With what someone else said (2-3 donuts per minute) wouldn't it take 10 hours gameplay for a thousand, and someone said this is the actual easier one (compared to previous ones)? To get 140 bucks worth of donuts (2400) we need 20 hours+ gameplay which is 7 bucks an hour... This is really a LOT of dedication...

Nope. Nuthin. It's like riding a mule instead of driving a car.
One time, long ago, I sent PMs about a glitch to everyone asking on the forum, and it got shut down before about half the people had a chance to ever use it. The "wink wink lets take this to PM" strategy bites us all in the rear. I mean, if I was EA watching for stuff like this, I certainly would ask for a PM. Seriously.
So there's no way to get around this stuff.
Maybe if we start a thread titled "Anyone else having a crashing Easter Egg/Glitch? "
And post "i discovered an awesome glitch. My game crashes about every ten minutes. And each time, when I log back in I have another 127 donuts. The same thing is happening to my friend's town. For weeks now. Has this been happening to anyone else? ".
And another one could chime in and say " yeah, its happening to my niece's friend's brother-in-law's next-door-neighbor's grandfather. Ever since the Winter Event takedown, he can barely enter his town, and when he does, he crashes within three minutes, but he gets 127 donuts every time. He's up to 41,275 donuts so he doesn't want to file a ticket yet, and they won't tell me his name so I can report him. They said he's on Android. Are you on Android? "
And the first person would say "No. I'm on iOS. So its not platform-related, I guess. But i really think we need to take this to PM, so they don't fix it. "

Thank you for the sentiment. I do not read everything, and clearly I do not read enough to get in on these glitches. I am not close to anyone here, so I do not get messaged, so I would love to be able to learn about these things here BEFORE they are history...

We tried "Cajun glass"....... It's all doomed to be caught at some point..........
I think using the word glitch catches it- I'm sure they have a way to surf us by keyword... And that would be the one
