I got him for the Railyard as much as anything. Helping with the Redwood is just gravy.

I think this is a consensus across the board!

I think he's worth it just because I loved Pacey/Joshua Jackson when I was younger. Not that he's voiced (I think), but still, that's who I associate him with.

Correct me if I'm wrong; but for those that have the Giant Redwood in their possession, isn't Jesse Grass essentially a permanently-offered premium character now?

I don't see any limited-time countdown listed under him in the store...
EA has mislabeled store items so often that we can't really trust the absence of "limited time" labels, anymore.

So i am in a dilemma. I was thinking of getting Jesse Grass but also focus on SH. I am missing the following for SH premium characters
    Jasper and Bumblebee Man
For Railyards, i am missing the following premiums
    Jesse Grass and Dewey.

Outside of cost, would it be better to focus on SH since i get another character out of getting to a billionaire status in SH (Paris). I know the re-release premiums every so often so I guess i could wait for JG.....although i am still waiting for Father Sean to be released again...

    Thoughts?

    It depends.

Disregard Dewey Largo - making 50 glass per 3hrs is a lot, especially when you can only have 70+ in storage.
You need awards less than pills (and also you end up "losing" 5 pills/hr when making awards, due to the task lengths), so for SH I'd prioritise Jasper for his pill-making ability.

As they won't always be doing those special earning tasks, go for the character etc. you like better.
    - Jasper comes with a building, but it barely gets used (if at all). His outdoor tasks are quite good, but he's 50 donuts more expensive.
    - Jesse has great outdoor tasks (loved the KrustyBurger one... until EA stuffed up the animation) and he's cheaper, but he's not as well-known as Jasper & doesn't come with a building.

Now i'm hoping for a spring time yard sale for father sean or others: )

I now have him. I will let you know next week if he is worth it.
I hope for an event next week so I can justify buying donuts to buy Luann and then Dewey.

I'm freemium and Jesse is not someone I'm even remotely interested in, but if he truly does help with the railyard and gets it done much quicker, then I'm thinking he's worth it.

I usually start the railyard Tuesday morning and finish it by Friday afternoon. Would getting him really speed it up that much?

It's a weird case. Him worth it for real world labor saving reasons if this your priority. But he not so hot for the reasons i'd usually purchase something with d'nuts. His entertainment value is suspect cuz him not an all-star cast member. Jesse's power ranking among premium characters like Jasper? Jasper would demolish jesse in a fight, and also in the battle for my affection. makes me want to wait for next event's offerings instead. Maybe in 3 months beat chest with pride for holding off on Jesse till something better come along. Head hurt **** good hurt because noggin tink and grow stronger in brain.

I got him today and I think he is totally worth it. He helps with the rail yard and I can make up the 100 donuts I spent on him in probably as little as 3 months, so that is cool.

Or in zero months if you use the Don't Buy Jesse method.

Yeah exactly...too bad a more iconic character didn't have Jesse's capabilities since it would make more excited. But functionally, it sounds like he's worth it, especially if I can finish the weekly railyard stuff much sooner than Friday!

I have Jesse and always finish the railyard on Thursday, if that helps.

I'm going to say he is worth it especially now there is an event. I generally finish railyard Sunday or Monday

Hmm, ok. I'm still on the fence with him. He's not a character I'm interested in, but he helps with the rail yard. The rail yard is indefinite, right? There's no end, so there's value in having him make it easier.

Yes, Jesse is a great long term investment since the Rail Yard tasks are pretty much indefinite.
