Hoarding Coins

All up to you. If you want to update the crafting to level 2 then you'll want to spend them for mats and chains. If you're patient then save them for act 2.

If you have the premium characters and the friend pass you can easily get 3 donuts a day.

im not sure you can get to lvl 2 crafting if you hoard them...

You can't. Tapping gamblers is the only other way to get material and their drops are horrendous.

I've had 2 since it started. One gave me three donuts and one 25 chains. I'm on 7/10 to level 2 and just got the silver tower.

The only advantage I see from getting to level 2 crafting early is that you can get more of the items from level 1, and not that many more. All the level 2 crafting items require phase 2 currencies.

I'll horde mine until phase 2 starts. I'll either get bonus doughnuts now or at the end of act three, so the 'B'oughnuts can wait. The bad thing about hording them is I will have to spin 100+ times which is a royal pain.

I was considering hoarding myself as I'll probably finish act 1 today or tomorrow. I've decided against it due to bonuts. This event seems like it will get easier after we get the two additional mini games and more ways to earn.

I'll only hoard if there's no chance of me getting another round of bonuts before act 2 starts.

For me the donuts are the real prize, so I won't be hoarding them, especially since I will need them to be able to buy the miss springfield bundle that supposed to come out this week.

This is an interesting question, because the only reason that saving them gives any benefit would be if there is a differential in collecting chips in the later stages or if bonuts require fewer chips. Do we know if it is going to be the same in Acts 2 & 3?

If nothing changes, just go with your heart, nothing actually changes as far as your outcomes

The bonus after earning all of the prizes is supposed to be the same for all 3 acts, so using the coins up right away for donuts vs spending them later should result in the same amount, but spending them in a later act would get that act's prizes sooner. But there's information we don't know: we don't know what the payout for the other 2 buildings are going to be, especially in terms of crafting currency. Also, there is the chance that the amount needed will be changed in a patch down the road. I don't think that has ever happened before, but that doesn't mean there couldn't be a first time.

I'm going to get Brittania Casino tonight, then I should get the last prize in a couple days. I'm hoarding as many coins as I can because I think they're eventually going to increase the percentage of spins that "drop" crafting materials so I wait to have as many saved up as I can, while still getting all the act 1 prizes, for if//when they increase the drop rate.

EA has tweaked certain things in the past. Just have to wait & see.

I'm not getting enough keychains and coasters to upgrade the crafting screen to level 2 before act 2 starts. Is anybody else in the same situation? During the Tap Ball event, the price of a soccer ball was lowered after the start. I going to hold off on upgrading those 10 bars in the hopes that EA will lower the price.

I'm only three bars in so doesn't look like I will be getting to level 2 soon. I play a lot and am working towards my last prize so that's not the problem. This is so slow moving it's boring.
