From 20 minutes to 40 to visit?

Are you saying you were slower because you're hungover or because neighbour visits are slower than usual?

Towns do take longer to load for me and it's extending my visits with about 10-15 minutes.

I can't even play this game when I'm hungover. Takes me 90 minutes to visit all my neighbors.

I agree: I dislike the trend of trying to find little wandering guys to tap in every single town- it takes way too long since a lot of people have huge towns with sprawling road networks. Also, it doesn't help that the towns seem to take a little longer to load.

One trick I have is t move on to the next town after finding only 1 gambler to tap. You can come back later to find two others to tap, but the timer starts after the first one.

Personally, I think it would be nice if they switch the timer to starting at a fixed time (resetting maybe at the same time the challenges come in) and giving you the freedom to check your neighbors whenever you want without having to worry about changing when the 24 timer starts.

Tapping on people always takes longer than tapping on buildings. Once the event is over, then the time should go down.

Neighbor visiting time doubled for me at the start of the Winter Event, because of the long time for each town to load. I thought it was from the snow animation. Obviously, that wasn't the cause.

As far as locating the wandering gamblers, my opinion is that -- so long as I have more than 30 neighbors -- I don't need to find 3 gamblers in each town. I just need to find 90 gamblers in total. So I just tap whatever gamblers I can easily spot in the first few moments, and move on. If I haven't found 90 by the end of my neighbor list, I figure I can just go back to the towns that still have "actions" available and look around.

The GOOD aspect of these events with unlimited "targets" (e.g., wandering characters to tap instead of buildings) is that we can all feel free to clear all of our rents and not worry that our visitor-neighbors will run out of things to tap.

It's a LOT different than in "the olden days" when we had to forgo collecting rents so our visitors could collect event currency.

The UNFORTUNATE aspect of these events is that our neighbors don't even know we've been there. :(

Totally agree with you! And it did happen to me a lot what you mention first. My neighbors have huge town and try to find those gamblers is just a pain in my neck.

I went from visiting everyday to at least once per week...

It takes 2-3 times longer to load all the little guys wandering around town. This is no longer a small game, so I wish they'd get rid of that.

I've virtually given up visiting until this event is over. My visits are taking forever. Every single town the app crashes. Sometimes I can get 3 taps, others only one will register. Then I have to go all the way back in again.

I've tried logging in & out. Force closing the app. Finally logged out, deleted and reinstalled this morning. Now the app closes after every single tap. Grrrr.

Having Neighbours with small towns helps a lot during events - which is a good excuse to help new players.

There are days, however, when I just do 30 visits - just so I can get the event currency!

This is really all events for me. Towns take 2x as long to load, takes 4x as long to find things to tap, and neighbors have no clue that anything is happening.

I've only been visiting when I'm desperate for those last few chips to an achievement.

The names of neighbours who have visited me comes up for me.

I do what someone else said before if I'm running slow I just do one tap in each town then go back later to finish off.

I'm having no issues what so ever with visiting this time around. Its no slower and i know my neighbors towns quite well so i know where to go etc. There's only one friend i struggle with and thats because they have one strip of road and quite literally EVERY NPC in the game ever, so it seriously lags on that one town. Otherwise all dandy this end!

Also people placing their Burns Casino in the Springfield Heights area (where no or very few gamblers spawn). So you have to scroll around looking for gamblers then realize you're on the wrong side of town.
