Pretty much as soon as the casino event started, the railyard has demanded metal, metal and more metal. Seems pretty convenient and is really irritating.
    This. But I just finished.

My Monorail track is more important to me than this event. When it's track building time, I use as many characters as I can to get finished, and I usually am finished with better than 3 days to spare, then I continue until all recycle centers are full up for the next time, including the dump. I'm done building for the week, and just replenishing the dump and centers, then i'll go full hog back into the event. There have been plenty of characters to keep the casino tokens flowing.

I havent tapped the rail yard in a long time. Just doing the casino event for now.

I have started rearranging my town again during this event havent rearranged my town since halloween 2014. Attempting to start my mon-o-rail stations and tracks thru Springfield. Things are actually going well for my stations

I have Brandine and Jesse, so I have four characters to work on metal. I was worried a bit at the start of the event but with four it goes smooth enough,.
Redwood is going slow though, especialle now that I also needed Bart.

Jesse and Brandine have been a great help. Last week I finished the Rail Yard barely in time, so this week I've released Lisa & co. in the evenings from earning tokens to grinding metal. I'm on course to getting my sprinklies today (Saturday) like I usually do.
You're on level 8 with the Redwood? I just had Bart doing it by himself because he wasn't needed for anything event wise and now my Redwood is level 9. I'm in no rush to completing it until after the Casino event is over.

Gary this is exactly what I have done. The way I calculated it, it takes one hour for the metal recycling; four rounds of that, if I am diligent, takes only one four hour round at the casino and fills the recycling center. I have kept up splendidly in the event. Got Lucius two days ago and finished his questline yesterday morning. Working on my third round of bonuts. I have none of the premium characters that help with the monorail either. It's entirely doable.

The five donuts each week has been a priority since it was available. I did get my 5 donuts the first week of casino event but came up short second week. Since I'm very busy with the granddaughters, I'll just give monorail a rest for a while.

I'm checking in for frequently because I love the Casino event. But I've been mostly keeping Lisa making metal (except for overnight) And sometimes Ned, if I need metal across the board. (Lisa shouldn't be in a casino at all! lol) I did buy the Rich Texan in both of my games, so that helps me feel as if I can keep Lisa on Metal making. This has worked in my Premium game, since I got my 5 rail donuts on time this week (actually, a little early this week) but I'm struggling in by Freeium game. I only need like 4000 Red for Lucius, so I'm focusing more on Metal. Ned & Lisa Metal & trash and Krusty & The Reverend always getting tokens. I'll get both, I'm sure, but I will probably need the entire 7 days to get the donuts.

Might have to consider Jesse. I didn't realize he was good for all 4.

I am normally long finished but have struggled as surprise surprise the main requirement this week is metal and I have only three characters free to work with. I'm sure next week the demand will be for plastic and all the necessary characters will be at the casino.

This was my strategy too. I finished the railyard, got Lucius, and I'm on my 4th round of bonuts.

I managed to get my 5 donuts by Friday night. We'll see how it goes this week since I will be a little more busy with work. The only time I stop making rails was during the Halloween event.
