I think a better tip would be, always check what the daily prize is before tapping anything. And if the daily prize is chips, make sure you're not within that range for bonus donuts, otherwise the overage will go to waste.
I would like to know who this anomalous tapper is myself.
I myself would rather have a head start on the prizes rather than getting 1-3 donuts. Not everybody can get more than bonuts heck some don't even manage to get any extra. It was simply a tip to those that can't get the bonuts so they have a headstart, I myself can afford to buy donuts so the extra ones don't interest me at all.
This is a good idea. Since we get extra donuts for either act, the chips would end up contributing to the bonut count for the next act. Properly phrased, the OP's post should have read
"...and don't really care about when you get the extra donuts..."

this is exactly what I was getting at! I'd just not seen anyone recommend this and I'm all about helping others. I'm new here but I've been tapping for a fair few years and I've been looking on these forums for the same amount of time.

Glad you found the forum! Don't let the previous posts discourage you from contributing, they're just giving you a hard time in a half-joking manner.
There seems to be a considerable misunderstanding about deferring chips for the next act (by your method, by hoarding gaming tokens, by not placing Club Prizes right away to defer the chip prizes). Many think of it as a choice: get bonuts OR get ahead in the next act. But this is NOT the case. By deferring chips you get the next Act prizes faster, AND you get those bonuts too (albeit in the next act). In the end, you get roughly the same amount of bonuts, so unless you really need those donuts right away, you're giving yourself a particular advantage. So if you can have your cake and eat it too, why not?
If you get a daily challenge that gives you 1350 casino chips you can Infact complete that challenge and then claim it when the new act starts. This is for anyone who has got all the prizes and don't really care about the extra donuts or if you get the 1350 challenge the day before the new act. It gives you a very good start to the new prizes! Haven't seen this on here so thought I'd tell the people that didn't know!
Happy tapping everyone.
I thought of that, right after I claimed it.
:-(
I'm hoarding this time, if I finish act 3 quickly I'm assuming I can get back the bonuts I'm not going after now.

Excellent tip! Thank you
you're very welcome! Glad I could help some of you guys out.
Agree with others on saving gold coins for Act 3. I'm getting bonuts 1-2 times a day just by tapping gamblers and 9 characters at the casino. I've been hoarding gold coins for at least 3 days. Might as well save them for the next round when the new crafting material(tickets) will be available.
Ok I bon't unberstanb what's going on here (3 times this page alone) anb a lot of other posts. dut I keep seeing people type bonuts anb I can't figure out why. The letters aren't even next to each other (d & b). It boesn't seem to de a language thing so are they choosing to type bonuts instead of donuts on purpose? I bibn't want to seem to de picking on someone so never askeb till now, it's briveing me crazy not to know and typing this way is making me cixelsyb.

Bonuts = bonus donuts. It's a combination of the two words.

This is true, however it is not without risk. I have been burned on past events by using this 'deferring' strategy - this will not pay off if they, for example, increase the bonut chip count in act 3 or without warning make act 3 totally different than the other 2 in some way (both of which have happened in previous events). It doesn't look like that'll happen this time, but for me a bonut in the hand is worth 2 in the bush...it's not worth the risk just to complete the next act faster...and what does that really gain you anyways? Less time playing / being entertained by the game - seems like a lose-lose to me.

I always catch up without doing any saving, works for me
I've been half deferring. You can't stop collecting from gamblers and the casino. But you can hold onto the last 90 from friends visits and hold onto coins. I will get one more round of bonuts before act 2 starts. After that, I save.

Loved it! Thanks for taking your misunderstanding to an extreme.

EDIT: I waited too long to hit submit... beaten to it.
