This sounds about right, the majority of towns I can get into are under level 20

You know what I just went into the first 5 towns I can access and all of them are small. My town is 13x13 and I haven't received a single valentine. You might be on to something.

Level doesn't seem to matter. I can get into 25's and there are some < 20 that I can't get to.

I would agree, but I have a few friends that are small towns, one that is a level 8 I believe, tiny, and I cannot access hers. I can only access three towns, actually all three are level 21 or above.

It's not the level. I'm level 25 on my small town. It's the land.

And you are sure level 8 is updated?

I got into a few level 25 and one level 24.

Oh edit for land now lol. One was small and the others pretty big and lots of buildings.

Hmmm, will have to take a closer look. I know the level 8 one I mentioned is tiny, but 6x6 I am not sure.

Say it isn't so!!! I'm going to check now. Be back with the results.

EDIT: Nope. I just checked. One friend that I can access has nearly all the land. And is level 25.

No, I am not sure the level 8 is update, but I would assume so, the last login is today.

I don't know, RSommons. A dear friend of ours (whom I shall not name to avoid him getting blasted with requests) has a rather large town and was the first I could visit...

Do you know if the dear friend is able to reciprocate?

Can't really confirm that. Most of my friends were added back around Halloween. The vast majority of my friends are in Level 25 towns and ALL of them (except my wife who basically abandoned the game back around Level 12 but for obvious reasons I don't delete) are above Level 20.

That said. I can get into about a quarter of them. It seems every time I try I can get into 1 or 2 more that I couldn't earlier. But I see no difference based on the size of the towns.

    Interesting theory though.

Maybe we need to start a looking for friends with small towns thread and see if we can access those players towns.

    Edit:
I've gone through the 20 or so friends out of 100 I can access and I would say 18 of those have less than 80 total squares. Unfortunately I don't know about the ones that I can't access, I started a friend purgnig spree yesterday before I knew about this and I am not familiar with the size of the peoples towns off-hand.

I want to be wrong. Rather large? Full grid, 1/2 grid?

It seems I can visit several of my new friends Springfields. Maybe I'll do an experiment deleting and refrozen ding an old friend.

But even though I can get into about 10 friends towns right now I haven't been visited once since the update, so apparently my town is inaccessible.

One idea I have is iOS 6.1. Has you guys upgraded yet? I haven't because I haven't backed up lately and never update my iOS without backup first. I'll do this when I get home this evening.

Anybody want to test the delete and re-friend theory?

I have conflicting results. A small lvl 24 no problem a small lvl 22 gave no acces.

So i believe size isn't It

When I last checked this morning, the only towns I could visit were the one's of people not active on this forum.

Chew on that for a moment if you want to get your conspiracy theory on.

The first town I could visit was from a real-life friend. So I thought it has to do with the different time zones.
But then again, I can´t visit my belgian neighbours...

I've already come to that theory. No seriously, I can't visit a single forum regular's town. Not one. Damn you EA.
