Level 19 Springfield GONE - Replaced with level 4

    same thing here and i spend money on it had most of the buildings and characters and was at level 18 **** happened i want my springfield back

    Same thing happened to me yesterday. I was on level 12 and then turned the app off and later tried to play and it said there was a level 2 game on my device and asked if it was my Springfield. I said no. Every time I start the app it said the same thing until I started a new Springfield logged out and now it says there is a level 6 Springfield which is where Im at now. The strange thing before that, while it said there was a level 2 on this device, I was still getting notifications from my level 12 Springfield which I could not get to. At least I didnt spend any really money on this app like other people but I would like my old Springfield back.

    I lost my level 21 on sept 29. I may start over, but pretty mad about it.

    Jersey: Did you attempt to contact customer service/tech support? Just as I anticipated, I have received no response.

    ZigZagler78: No never got it back. Had to start over and back at level 11 and starting to have issues again.

    Just out of curiosity, are you guys playing it on an iPhone or iPad?

    I had the exact same problem and I have been looking all night for a way to fix it. I am on an Ipad. This situation sucks, I really like the game and I was about to drop fifty bucks into it so I could buy all the Halloween stuff. Guess this was a sign to use that money for Chinese food. Thank you Homer for making my path clear.

    I had the same problem. I was at level 15. I played on an Iphone, by the way.

    Was at level 22 got reset to level 3 still no reply from EA

    Well, ea got back to me and told me to make sure that everything was up to date(apple updates and the game), uninstall, reinstall, and if that didn't work, send them a reply with all the technical jargon. Put a nice little disclaimer in there, too, about how they weren't liable for in game purchases. Nothing that they suggested worked. I am going to send them the info they asked for but at this point I feel as though my time was for nigh.

    my springfield level 12 replaced with a level 6.
    i bought some donuts for real money but everything disappeared, how am i gonna do? it looks like they stole money!
    i want my city back where it was but noone on ea support center is answering me back.
    please tell me how to do. send me some links where i can find everything i need. please!

    Update: I uninstalled, waited over a week, reinstalled and upon launch I was automatically logged-in to my origin account and brought to the level 4 town that I did not create. (My level 19 town is obviously still gone) Why would my iPhone retain cached data for a game that had been uninstalled? How can I get rid of it? There must be some saved data on my iPhone that is taking the place of my level 19 which is saved on origin. Or, origin's servers had a brain fart and lost all of our games.

    Any updates with you guys/gals?

    Fat chance of getting your town back. I had a level 13 WAY back and it became a level 4 overnight. Customer service stinks to say the least. They have never gotten back to me after my first few attempts of communication with their last statement being they would look into it and get back to me in 2 weeks since they are backlogged. 2 months later I still havent' heard back from them. Oh well, my town is level 20 after playing through it. The sucky thing is losing my in app purchases.

    If this wasn't a Simpsons game, I would have quit playing a long time ago.

    Its a real stinker, . I hope you didn't loose your donuts

    I had a few 100.. then game when whack when i went to visit someone, came back.. took me down to 5 donuts

    I did the same and still got a level 0 account. I messaged ea back with all the info they requested and asked them if they had, oh I don't know, a back-up server to protect the game that some people spend a lot of money on. But of course, they have not responded back. From the first e-mail I got, they pretty much patted me on the head and said sorry. And just wanted info to "improve gameplay and further investigate (my) claim". I am as confused as you are, Zig. Why would my device save something, even when completely uninstalled, on a game where you have to have internet access to play so it can save your game to a server? I say it is just a server fail and we may as well start over if we choose(I don't) and hope for different results. However, if anyone figures out how to fix this I would love to play again! With my original data though!

    My mate is in the same boat. He has been trying to communicate with EA over the past few weeks to restore a lost account.

    He'd rather bash his head through a window.

    There needs to be a dedicated community rep

    contact the better business bureau. games are getting deleted all over the place, and EA is doing nothing about it, even if you spent money on In-App purchases.

    In a recent ticket, they actually had the hide to tell me to visit the forums and talk with EA members..... lol where?

    They almost always say this. It's part of the standard message. They may even believe it's true. It was clear that the individual answering my complaint was just some low-level flunky who didn't know beans about anything except how to follow a script.
