TIP: WILD WEST: Q & A AND STRATEGY THREAD: ACT I
Very soon, I'm going to put up a list of the kind of information we need to gather. It's no sweat, I'm not trying to put pressure on people, it's just the things that come up most often each event, so just sit back and enjoy, the answers will come as the event feels the need! (Lol! Team Rocket quote!)
Prize Track:
As you exchange Pickaxes and Cowboy Hats for Clues (1 Clue per exchange for Daily Prizes) you get Clues towards the Event Prize Track, which is the high number of Clues indicated by the exchange. These are the prizes in this track, and how many Clues you need:

Bugs
We got new land and it's bugged. You can not build roads there. !
Thanks for Brabsel for this information.
First is the handing in of currency. Many people wonder if there's a use to hand in more after you gained the price of the day and if it's worth to hand in a big amount at once. The first question can be answered, the second I'm not sure.
You get two things when handing in currency, first is the price of the day where you need to hand in currency a specific amount of times. It makes sense to use the small option here as you can finish faster that way. After that is done you can still hand in more currency and you'll continue to get clues. Clues count towards the "main" prices. The first of them is gummy Joe for whom you need 740 clues. So if you hand in more currency you won't get the daily prices but you'll be faster in getting the main prices. If you get more clues from handing in a small amount of currency often or more clues from handing in a big amount if of currency at once... I don't know but you can find that out easily yourself.
Next thing: the new land. Yes we got new land and yes it's bugged. You can not build roads there.
Another useful information: daily challenges. You can get daily challenges asking you to "earn" a specific amount of currency. For example 200 pickaxes. This seems to be bugged. It seems that you can only complete it by having 200 more than you initially had. For example let's say you have 1000 pickaxes and get the quest. If you spend 200 then it will show -200/200. It seems you can fix it by getting to 1200 pickaxes total. This is speculation right now but seems plausible!
I think this is most of what's been asked so far. I'll keep my eye open for more and post here if I think something could be relevant or useful.
Second: friends visits. You can visit your friends and they have bandits to tap whether they have the update installed or not, but also buildings to tap. So be sure to search for the bandits if you want to get event currency. If you click a bandit you will see that they're dropping FPs. But they don't count towards anything and there is no new price. It's just a bug.
Extra prospectors can be obtained by tapping bandits ( drop rate unknown)
They can only be dropped on towns that have the update.
Buck McCoy and Lurlene produce pick axes and hats at a premium rate, there is speculation that other characters can also be used such as belle but it could be bugged or require a specific quest to be completed.
Gummy Joe can produce resources along with Homer, Marge, Apu and the rest, but he requires the Saloon to be a certain level
The level for Gummy Joe to produce resources is Lv 4
So the town plaza (saloon) needs to be level 4 before Joe can produce.
Current characters that can produce include but not limited too:
Homer
Marge
Apu
Bart
Buck McCoy
Lurleen
Cletus
Gummy Joe (requires Lv 4 Plaza)
Each town can hold up to ten prospectors. And there's a score board with your friends. You get points for sending and catching prospectors. You get ten points for sending one.
Also, bandits always drop one clue and either 8 hats or 16 pickaxes. And like someonewashere said, they have a chance of dropping a prospector.
Oh god i totally forgot about THE limit, the "sebastian cobb is tired, cant produce anymore blueprints" limit
After four hours you get items if they weren't trapped before. If the neighbor taps them earlier then both you and your neighbor will get items.
Yes. I just check to see whichever one I need more of and then do the task for it.
Edit: Sorry, just saw the thread about this, oops.
Is this a bonut event?
Should we be scrambling to finish this up as soon as possible for a shot at some extra donuts, or can we just take our time as long as we are on track for the main prize track? There are donuts at the daily trades, but this is almost certainly not repeatable.
Yes, this is what I have been doing too. I don't see how stockpiling some resources can hurt you in the long run. And may actually be beneficial since you'll be turning in the bigger resources for a higher ratio of Clue payouts. So I'd recommend NOT turning in resources too zealously.
