I'm working towards the last prize at the moment, sitting at around 23k, 6days left so hopefully should make it.

Only 16420 clues. I suspect my friends not being able to see who's dropping prospectors has really hurt me this round. I have three or four friends we usually do a back and forth with this type of thing during events, but this time around it's been pretty sparse.

4000 away from last prize but I've hoarded a hundred prospectors so far for the next stage, should give me a good bump when it drops.

I'm at 14K clues. Just slightly ahead of the calendar.
Starting off, you really have to keep on top of everything. Tapping all the bandits, being there every 4 hours, and sending/getting prospectors with your neighbors. I fall behind if I don't keep up on all items.
Without getting premium helpers, I don't see how anyone can get ahead. This is one event that is pretty hard to keep up.

I have two side towns that I tested yesterday. One had stockpiled 50 prospectors to "give" ... (no other neighbors) ...
I drained the general store as much as possible in each town before and after the "test", made sure to collect all ten every time, and touched nothing but those 50 prospectors in either town while testing. I collected all the prospectors in the receiving town as soon as I dropped the prospectors from the sending town.

The end result, after cashing in all the axes and hats I had received during the test, was:
Sending town - gained 210 clues (with an additional (net) gain of 34 axes and 24 hats that I couldn't get rid of yet)
Receiving town - gained 500 clues (with an additional (net) gain of 144 axes and 182 hats that I couldn't get rid of yet)

I do NOT know whether the "profit" for the sending town would have been higher (or lower) if the receiving town had NOT collected the prospectors at all. Maybe it would have been? But I had expectations that stockpiling and dropping 50 prospectors would result in more than 210 clues.

Agreed, hardly seems worth it really. I reckon I'll have around 250 to send when act 2 starts but I really do think it would get me more of a boost.

I just played the first act finale.

It played too fast! But, you can replay it. I had to 3x just to read the one caption.
All my designs look unfinished because i can't place as many plants, streetlights, and fences as i would like. PLEASE REMOVE THE LIMIT, EA!

Yeah, that animation is short! I guess I'll re-watch it now...

I'm 719 clues away from the Rib Hut, ugh.

I won't have enough resources to turn in more for another 2 hours. But at that point the Daily Challenge will give me 160 clues, which means I'll only need 559 clues. Ugh. That's not many in the big scheme, but I was unable to get the Rib hut before going to bed. Doubtful now though...

Feel like I'm miles behind on the Act 1 prizes (got Cowboy Homer and going for the picks). Do people hold out for each 'Day' prize when exchanging picks and hats for clues? I am hoarding the prospectors, but feel like I'm missing out on something to really earn those clues.

Finding this event a bit tougher to keep up with the prize track despite logging in every 4 hours, 3 or 4 times a day to clear all bandits and reset tasks. Just spent all my resources to boost myself up to unlocking the bank and shop. Usually i complete acts with days to spare, especially the last couple of events which were easy. Hopefully I unlock everything on time.

I hit the first act finale this morning - it did play pretty fast.

I have mucho thousands of pick axes and hats, just 2k clues from the Rib House. Should get it tomorrow.
