I just spen't all my axes and hats to get the 3x donut daily prize, and I'm still 900 from the 400 hat prizes. There's no way I'll get Wes.
    =(

Same story here.. I got in the event after the first 22hours it started... 3 hours before the end of act one i still needed the hat prize... I did log in 2 or 3times a day.

This crafting thing is just like my railway yard.. Always in short of 2 or 3 items to turn them in to enough clues...

    I agree.

Some events require increased attention to scheduling. Usually a four hour interval, usually enough free characters to achieve the goals. There's times i get them all and times i don't.

But i definitely seem to need an alarm to stay on top of it, vs just logging in casually.

Which I'm not forcing myself to do lately. Trying to maintain the casual part of it.

I would appreciate if they added some kind of last minute task, that would award the remaining amount needed. If it's something free anyway, give a second chance to win it. Maintain the positive opinion of the game.

It's times when i had been doing my best, but the game made me feel like my best wasn't good enough, that renewed my thought i should not spend money on this game. Counter productive for sure.
All my designs look unfinished because i can't place as many plants, streetlights, and fences as i would like. PLEASE REMOVE THE LIMIT, EA!

    hehe..

    I have two towns.
    1 Premium
    1 Freemium

My premium town got the last prize with looads time to spare.

My freemium town has 0 friends (actually 1 technically) and i'd like to keep it that way simply to prove events can be done solo, has no premium characters that can help in this event or premium bandit hideouts.

It still got the last prize, HOWEVER i did have to blow through all the prospectors i had hoarded but thats a small price to pay isnt it? I only tap my freemium town twice a day, when i get up and before bed, on my days off i can squeeze maybe a third tap, thats it.

I often come to the forums and see two sides one negative and one positive, one side saying i didnt get all the event prizes its too hard and one saying to suck it up its not so hard.

It seems more quiet this time, i like that.

for all that missed the last prize its just a skin for Bob no biggie, the prizes are possible if you tap at least twice a day do neighbor visits and of course use prospectors (even if not tapped they still give some rewards)

I made it, but it took all my attention. I had to for go almost all other tasks, monorail, heights, just to make it. I'm 23 of 96 on the board, the top 5 are 5 & 6 times the total I have.

Why do you keep generating hats if you need axes? Not trying to sound snarky - but are you aware that you control whats generated by starting a craze at the general store with either Homer (hats) or Apu (Axes)?

 actually No, I hadn't caught this crucial issue

Don't feel bad, you are definitely not the only one. I did not realize that critical issue either, and feel it was not explained well at all by the actual gameplay. I didn't even get the Chop Shop and ended the first Act with almost 10,000 pick axes and less than 20 hats. I actually remember posting a question about this to LPN on the forum a few days into the event, but then I could never view the forum after that for a few days. I'm frustrated with the functionality of this event and the forum.

And the worst part is I actually have owned the Rich Texan and Lurleen the entire event and have not been utilizing them at all it seems.

I have another question, and am now afraid maybe I am missing something else. When I started a craze this evening, I did Homer since I just finally realized that was how I generated hats. But when Snake is free, the General Store Icon in the top right of the screen with get an exclamation point on it, like I should be using Snake for something on the event now. But I can't seem to get him to promote lawlessness while Homer is doing his craze. Am I missing something here? Should I be using Snake for something else entirely?

Wes Doobner's is just a skin for Bob? I thought it was a building and a character.

    Lurking Mode OFF.......

Wes Doobners Rib Hut is a building and Skin for bob (The Wes Doobner Skin)
Its an ok skin, better than the act II skins but not good enough to warrant a purchase by donuts.

You can only do one craze at a time, however characters that can produce resources can continue to produce the resources of the last craze you set, this way you can maximize resources by sending marge and bart to produce the previous resource and then send Snake to promote lawlessness.
    Or vice Versa

Nowhere near to getting that final prize. Haven't been able to play half the time because every time there's an update, the update won't load because it thinks there's no room left no matter how much space I clear on my phone. I can't keep uninstalling and reinstalling this game every few days. Ain't nobody got time for that.

Thanks EA. This may be the end of the road for me.

Just reading this thread in full now. I am wondering what device you are playing on? I ask because I had this same exact problem and it nearly drove me away from the game as well. That was on my old I phone, and since I updated to the newest 6s, I have not had that problem again. I know how frustrating this problem can be.

Once you start a new craze, you can't use another craze.

But you can have two crazes running at the same time....

...IF you start a few people on the existing craze before initiating a new craze.

Example: i had just completed snakes craze for lawlessness. I then restart the few characters that only get guns. NOTICE: restart snake as EXPLOITING lawlessness, not whatever it's called in the "Start A Craze" Menu.

THEN i go back and use Homer to start the Rile Up craze. That allows me to get him, Marge and Bart working on hats at the same time others are earning guns.

    Make sense?

I completed act 1 with 2+ days left without buying any premium content, license, character, etc associated with this event. I'm also right on track for act 2 thus far. I think finding a rhythm for tapping helps. I can't play a lot at work, but I try to log in to reset my charters to earn event currency, clear bandits from hideouts, and tap any roaming bandits I see quickly every 4 hours (some days are better than others). I'm off today and clearing every 4 hours on the dot.

Just gotta keep tapping away and enjoy the game.

I had no problem whatsoever unlocking the final prize, having no relevant premium items. I could have done so earlier than I did, even, I just turned in fewer resources for clues once I realized there were no bonuts after getting the prizes.

I did still collect resources every 4 hours or so, which means that I have tons of pickaxes and hats, and can continuously make guns for act 2, such that I'm maxing out every morning so far.

It's a nice, enjoyable, fairly relaxing event compared to how chaotic, demanding, and requiring-premium-purchases the FGTQFS events tend to be.

Not able to get Wes, unless I'd be willing to pay 325 donuts.

Very disappointed, more about the building than the skin.

Don't know if I will get the final prize this Act. Still trying.

I made it on the last day with no premium characters to help out. I played about 2-3 times on weekdays and 3-4 times on weekends. Each day I was barely hitting the daily targets posted on the calendar. I think this is the closest I've come to running out of time during event while playing daily. Seem to be a little bit ahead of schedule for this act though.

I got him and the building with a couple days to spare. And I got the 3 additional donuts. I am all freemium. I learned from other events, to start early and be efficient. To switch between pickaxes and hats when one gets too low. To trade them all in for clues. I play 4 times a day. Constantly clicking on prospectors and other clickable characters roaming the town. I drop off the prospectors in my friend's towns in the morning or afternoon.

I log in usually at least 3 times a day. Not a freemium, I spend donuts but.... but I do not buy items or characters to help event along.

This one is very tight, finished with just one day to spare.
