And it's not the number of levels or the amount of donuts, because I only leveled up a couple passed 60, not sure if it even got to 65, and the game crashed and I was stuck in the Bart loop.
OK, your town is just weird, when I enter your town you are level 63 when I look on my neighbors you are 76. Hopefully they get this fixed soon and everybody gets back in.
You played this game for 60 levels you know how the level system works so once you went to 61 you knew there was a problem did you stop?
You chose to keep going and going and going to get free doughnuts I have no remorse for you or anybody that is locked out.
Cheaters never win
Can you reveal your TO name? I want to make certain you aren't a neighbor of mine.
Read all messages about this. People who merely built the Googolplex with the XP running were locked out. They were not exploiting anything. They were planning the game as intended.
I wouldn't be a Neighbour of you if you and only me were the only players of Tapped Out have a great day.
It's pretty amazing the both of my accounts are still working because I don't cheat I work hard for my money and I buy my Donuts the legal way
Amen brother we work hard for our money and we buy our doughnuts legally and we didn't get locked out they got caught with the red hand in the cookie jar and they don't have a leg to stand on they should all be punished.
**** are you talking about?! have you read all the messages about this? This is happening to people who simply do things like rush the new building. It has nothing to do with illegal stuff.
Right you didn't exploit.
You played this game for 60 levels you know how the level system works so once you went to 61 you knew there was a problem did you stop?
NO YOU CONTINUED TO USE THE EXPLOIT.
"In video games, an exploit is the use of a bug or glitches, game system, rates, hit boxes, or speed, etc. by a player to their advantage in a manner not intended by the game's designers"

Hey thanks for the pics Danco! I miss my town.
And you people that are discussing the xp thingy... I've never even used mine. But I did rush the build on the new building I purchased today.

The above link is the definition of video game exploiting you might want to take a read before you start bashing people.

I respectfully disagree with your opinion, snakeyees.
No doubt EA is well-aware that Donut Farming has been around & used for quite some time.
To my knowledge, EA has patched all previous *exploits*, yet Donut Farming has remained.
And you have every right to disagree this is a discussion board
if this was intended, then why did they just release a patch that set the xp to 1 million. If these people are allowed to keep their donuts it would be unfair I have spent way too much money over the course of this game.

I'm just going to say one more thing if this was intended, then why did they just release a patch that set the xp to 1 million. If these people are allowed to keep their donuts it's going to infuriate me I have spent way too much money over the course of this game.

100% not an exploit or glitch.
So you really feel that people getting the 3,000 free donuts is what the developers intended.
So you really feel that people getting the 3,000 free donuts is what the developers intended.
Irrelevant. It was gained through regular, normal gameplay using available tools (such as the XP multiplier) in the exact way they are intended to operate.
And also, yes. It was designed to give users lots of free donuts.
Perhaps not as quickly as some people were able to do it, but it was done so without exploits or utilizing glitches.
It's pretty amazing the both of my accounts are still working because I don't cheat I work hard for my money and I buy my Donuts the legal way
Congratulations on being so obnoxious.
I also buy donuts and do everything the legal way.
You are calling people who simply charged the XP Collider and who built the Googolplex cheaters because the developers mistakenly had the XP levels be 40K and used other code that caused massive hiccups. How pathetic.

Perhaps the extremely large Multipliers which a (relatively) small percentage of players have was overlooked?
Lately It Occurs To Me... What A Long Strange Trip It’s Been.

The xp level set at 40k was a glitch. Although I understand you want to deny that and simply say they wanted it to be 40k xp for a few hours, then they decided to change it on a whim. Its obvious to most people that was a glitch and that's why a patch was released so quickly. Although it would take an EA representative actually saying it was a glitch to convince some people. But I'm sure you would still deny it was a glitch, and simply say the EA representative didn't know what words meant.

I feel it is obnoxious to call him pathetic just because he has a strong code of ethics and fairness. Some people have a stronger sense of morals than others. Obviously some people feel they have a "right" to exploit anything they are able to exploit. Others want to preserve a sense of fair play, but that's not pathetic.
I get locked out of my games with the Bart screen fairly often. The solution for me is always to reset my internet.
Pull up the App Manager and swipe the game away.
Turn off the device.
Turn off all internet hardware - modem, wireless router, etc.
Wait 15 seconds.
Turn on modem and wait to boot. Turn on wireless router and wait to boot, etc
Turn on device.
Start game.

Oh, I am an Android (Google) user. I forced stop the app many times but the Bart screen still appears when its loading.

and during Tap Ball, the Community Prize requirement was quite high initially. They changed it when they saw how it actually worked in practice. Now, the XP level requirement was quite low initially. They changed it when they saw how it actually worked in practice. Misjudgment is not a glitch.
Oh, and I'm keeping my doughnuts. Tough asterisk, buddy. How is it unfair? You had the same opportunity to earn the doughnuts through gameplay that I did, you just chose not to. Seems like your own fault, really.

I happen to disagree. I don't think it was just a "misjudgement." I believe it was always meant to be much higher, but something got put into the code wrong.
But anyway, you are wrong about having the same "opportunity" to earn doughnuts. Not all games were glitched. My game has said all day that I'm level 60 and I need over 1 million XP to level up to 61. But if I look at it from your point of view, I suppose MY game was glitched with the wrong number. So maybe I need to contact EA and tell them to give me a few thousand doughnuts compensation.
My sincere condolences to LPN. Your work here on the forum pretty much gives you a free pass in my book. To the rest who have exploited the glitch and have subsequently been 'locked' out- I got nothing for ya. You got what was coming to you. Most people who play this game dont know or arent conniving enough to know how to work a glitch like that. Still, there are others that know how to work the glitch but dont on principle. People like me that pay real money for donuts. It devalues my curreny. (I also work hard to earn donuts legit through railyard, daily challenge, find Maggie, etc.) Its like using counterfeit bills. Or if you went to an ATM machine and it started giving you extra money. Guess what? You cant keep it! You'd have to give it back or they take it back. This is no different. I think they should make those that cheated have to sit out the rest of the West event and then unlock their games after. And of course take the donuts back. Penance for being manipulative. Sorry to sound harsh but like I said before, I play premium and fair and believe there should be consequences for exploiting the value of our digital currency.
Amen brother we work hard for our money and we buy our doughnuts legally and we didn't get locked out they got caught with the red hand in the cookie jar and they don't have a leg to stand on they should all be punished.
Your exactly right. How dare we get locked out and complain about it because all of us odviously did something to deserve it. For example, to celebrate my little girls first day of summer I let her play "find Maggie" and rope some bandits for me. That is what we were doing when this glitch occurred and it started leveling like crazy. The thought never even occurred to me to look at my doughnut's since I'm lucky if I ever have more than 20. I was also to busy consoling my sobbing child for thinking she ruined our town we had been building for 3 years. Thank you though, for I now see the error of my ways. Next time I'll be sure to spend what disposable income I have on freemium games so I can look down my nose at everyone else. To my fellow manipulative, cookie eating, Tapped Out players...I hope our problem gets fixed soon.
So, I go shopping and see a shirt I like. I decide that I am not going to pay full price and I will wait to see if it goes on sale. A month later I see that it is now 50% off! I quickly buy two, one blue and one red. I have paid half as much as someone who paid full price for one. Should I feel bad? Did I "take advantage of the system"? I don't think so. I call it smart shopping.
EA gave us the Xp collider and since then there has been a huge wait in between levels. Anyone who has the collider knows what it is for, to level up quickly. So now we have had plenty of time to earn extra in game cash just to use the collider if/when level 60 came.
Now I wonder if some of the people who's game got locked, were trying to level up too quickly? Perhaps at a faster rate than the program could handle? Also there's a possibility of the combination of leveling up and rushing a building? We have all seen glitches in our towns. Buildings backwards, fountains scrambled, trees turn into heads, and countless others. So obviously there are limits to what the servers can handle. I hope all those locked out get back to smashing bandits right quick.
