I'm not on this forum every day, so it's entirely possible that I've missed some nasty stuff. However, I've always found it to be pretty nice. In fact, someone that I didn't know was so nice that they made me my avatar. Someone else was so nice that when they got deleted from my neighbour list due to a glitch they sent me a nice PM, very politely asking if I'd deleted them deliberately or due to the glitch.
I get quite upset by online negativity and so I use a comment-blocking app so that I don't have to read the mean and dumb comments attached to news stories. I don't spend much time on online forums because I don't like the stress and conflict that characterise so many of them, but this is one of three that I frequent, because of its generally nice tone.
Don't let anything said here (or any forum) bother you. Some, I guess, are emotionally & socially connected to places like this (few - for whatever reason), but the overwhelming majority just stop by for information and move on (couldn't care less about the non-game content). Just remember that none of this matters in your life (unless it does). Happy tapping!
Yes, I'm especially so sick when someone like PullUp_AChair (or whatever his nick is) writes an opinion diffirent from the forum's majority on an event or something else. Then the majority mocks, bashes him and calls him a troll. (I'm talking about the time he criticized the Chilli event)

Unfortunately this always occurs. If anyone says anything negative about the game (opinion) then the fan boys who are emotionally dedicated will swarm to defend it as if they feel personally attacked. The 'Troll' label is used to basically describe all non fan boys. Sad really. Makes for a good laugh.

This comment-blocking app is a great idea! (If you want to lose faith in humanity in general, read the comments in any given major online news outlet)
When I first started on this forum, I had been playing for well over a year. I came looking for simple answers to problems I was having. I tried to ask for simple answers and most were very obliging. That was back when I had two games going and didn't realize that iOS and android versions existed. I don't have a great deal of time to devote to searching for old answers to questions. That is mostly because I tend to wander around and get lost in the comments. And as with most forums, the best answer to a particular question may not show up in a topic search. This is because posters tend to wander all over the place in their comments. And by asking a question that has been asked before, we sometimes hear a different viewpoint that wasn't pointed out before because someone didn't see the old thread.
Some people live to hate. They feed on negativity and contention. They jump all over mis-spellings and grammar faux pas. The best way to defeat them is to ignore them. It is because of them forums have moderators, it is their job to * them out.
And on this forum they are doing a fantastic job. Three cheers for the moderators!
Awesome game and a great forum containing a wealth of knowledge that is diluted by too much "Gas brake honk, gas brake honk, honk honk punch, gas gas gas." IMO.

Maybe if you chilled out from making cra ppy condescending posts like this one .... There would be less hostility on the forum.
If you are bored then don't play.
Play another game.
Design your town.
Read a book.
Do work - be productive.
Go to the gym and improve yourself.
Go smell the flowers outside and enjoy life.
Watch a new movie.
Hang out with friends.
Update your dating profile online (if you have one).
Go outside and do fun things.
Why are people so attached to needing this game to be their everything at all times.
I don't understand it. It's only a game. There are so many others things to do in life whereby this shouldn't bother anyone (an update to a game - what am I missing?).

without knowing the full story I can't comment. I don't see much "hostility" on this forum. Though things said over forums don't really upset me.
The internet is filled with jerks. Some people on this forum are jerks. Others are a bit too sensitive. But on average, most folks on this forum are cool.

My New Year's Resolution every year is to not read the comments section!
This forum is a special exception for me. It's a lil different, right? RIGHT?

Just kidding.
What did I miss?
Here's some highlights.
