I just got a New Gil Deal - Springfield Asylum
But how does it look? Is it animated? Basically, is it still going to be cool after the event is over?

It looks pertty big from the Store image.
Gil's quote for it is: "It may look like an abandoned building, but... hey, the plumbing's been redone!"
I can see it's got broken windows and needs a paint job.
The "Extra tough" group appears to be just a group of 3 villains with 5 hearts each.
It's going to totally depend on what you want from your town. I ended up picking it up because I like the design and I think it works well in my halloween corner with the graveyards, the spooky forests and the camp fire.
You can pick up Radioactive man, Kane Manor and Death mountain (if you don't already have them) for only slightly more and get two characters - which would be a much better deal.
But for me, I have plenty of characters and I'm concentrating way more on filling my springfield with buildings I like - and I do not like Kane manor or death mountain. They're buildings I would end up stashing in a corner because I'd need them for the characters but really don't want to see or to try and design into my town.
So I'd rather spend slightly less my a building I like than more for two buildings I don't like.
It is lightly animated. Nothing that will knock your socks off and I usually don't use two hour tasks, so it'll probably never get used that way.
It also seems to spawn extra bandits on top of the fight it adds (only one group of villains) and it has a slightly higher xp pay out (35 every 4 hours right now), if those are things you care about.
This is my first Gil deal I've bought, but this is the first Gil deal that wasn't really over the top (like the haunted book or the giant snow globe).
So if you want a creepy old building in your Springfield, it's probably worth it. If you'd rather have two or three new buildings, skip it.
I like it when something that doesn't appeal me, still works for others.
Looking forward to seeing some clever designs for this building in the Showcase!! Be sure to follow through, big spenders! :-)
