Why bother with crafting? Or the event in general?

I don't get why so many people are focused on the fact we have too many crystals. It's much better than constantly being short on them and it means that people who play less often still get a decent team.Its not likely we were grinding away for them at the the start and then having them thrown at us in the end, it was a fairly constant flow of crystals and didn't require any extra time, characters, or currencies to receive them. Is amazing how people can actually complain about good things. OP that wasn't just directed towards you but to the many others who have created threads or have the same opinion.

And with regards to the crafting after I got a few of each draftable (probably 5 of each) I focused on the high voltage walls since I may find a nice design for them in the industrial part of town and the atomic bombs since I can see them returning with a decent multiplier eventually.

I think they been really generous with the amount of trading cards for this event and although I don't find some of the items very interesting, I always use up all the items to craft things. In this event, as I haven't been playing the game for very long (main town since November 2014) I have crafted lots and lots and lots of building packs as my new 'house farm'. Even very new players, if they play several times each day, would be able to do the same. Hoping to get my 16th set of buildings later tonight on my 2nd town.

Agreed. I don't really see a problem here. I crafted what I wanted and haven't looked at my crystals or cards since then. Once I was done crafting I only bothered paying attention to crab juice and the same for that. Once I got Dr. Crab the event was done for me and I went back to my normal non event play style.

wow man this is all the rage; I've seen two people go absolutely crazy today about having too many cystals. This could be an epidemic. This guy at dunkin donuts this morning was loosing his mind about the crystals. Throwing chairs; thank god he had the cold coffee cause he whipped it right in some old lady's face!!!Just crazy rambling on and on about too many crystals. I mean man take it down a notch. I would have got a video ...but it was just too dangerous had to leave!!!! Plus my phone was still serving as a gps in my car. Has anyone else seen any crystal rage incidents????? Anybody get a video of one???

Why bother with the event? I mean... you don't have to. Go outside, eat a sandwich, punch that tree that's been giving you the stink eye all summer.

All things you could do instead of playing a game you don't like. Or complaining about it online.

I hate this event because it is so far removed from feeling like it has anything to do with The Simpsons.

It feels more like a pathetic attempt to emulate other popular gaming Apps that involve progressing heroes.

It is tied to a number of episodes in the series.

I hate things, too. You might be my only friend, OP. What's wrong with finding it odd that we have an overabundance of Finite Stones? Too many finite stones but barely squeaking by on social battles? The game needs a few tweaks. That's a real thing. (Not a real big problem, but still a kind of problem.)

if you have too many crystals and that makes you unhappy --- maybe you should really consider spending less time on the game.

It would be like a Billionaire saying "I have too much money to do anything with, I hate this!" Come on guys, if you have more be thankful. They could easily make near on impossible to get everything if they wanted!
