Do me a solid pt 4...
Each item you craft works toward 3D printer upgrade. Believe it's like a previous quest where we had to unlock future craft items by crafting others before them and leveling the printer is how to unlock them.

So that means if an item says something like "Increase your crafting level with the next 4 Demos" I'll need to complete 4 more of those items as well as all the other items to complete this task?
Cuz I am certain this is a requirement to this quest.
Btw none of the crafting crap requires Future Bucks, just Robot Parts.
My 3D printer is currently at level 2.
Does that mean I craft something multiple times say like the Holo Tulips 11 times before that part of the quest is complete?
Also is it recommend crafting items first or prioritizing upgrading the 3D Printer.
The downside I can see to crafting stuff first is that's its gonna longer to upgrade the 3D printer.
Crafting is how you upgrade the printer.
Or am I totally confused on how it works?
Under the Holo Tulips its says craft the next 9 Demos. However I crafted two of those and one future street lamp and went to level two, one other item but can't remember what that was.. I presume the demos are not the actual items, but means built by robot parts. I'm only partly guessing at this time.
Edit: I began obtaining the future bucks when I got to level three.
My 3D printer is only at level 2 and I have been able to get Future Bucks by tapping on the robots in my town.
I did the exact same thing thinking that this worked like the dreadful leveling up in the Casino Event. Duh.
Instead you craft and it builds up towards the next level that way, much much better crafting mechanics this time.
I find this confusing as well.
Don't up-grade the machine. It's a waste of resources. Craft something.
So Do Me a Solid Pt. 4
a) - Complete All Required Demos For Any Item:
You pick for instance Holo Tulips. You need to buy 12? tulips (Demos) using the robot parts to craft them,
after that the buying currency changes
b) -Use Future Bucks to Get Items:
the next tulip you'd buy with future bucks instead of robot parts. And that would be part 4 finished. At least that's how I understand it
I don't know for sure though, I've bought 3 Future Street Lamps so I need 2 more to see if it really works that way
I love that the robots end up congregating at the PolyVac, don't have to hunt them down too much.
just click the 'level up' button on the printer (assuming you don't have enough robot parts to successfully do it). You'll get a message that you don't have enough parts and that will have a 'do it' button. Click that and it will take you right to any robots wandering your town. (or give a message that there aren't any at the moment).
For instance in my town.
Holo tulips- it tells me to make 12 demos of it
future street lamp- only requires me to make 4 ( already made 1)
Vacation to Venus billboard- only need 2 (already made one)
Hover street sign- requires only 2 to be made
So the amount you need to make goes down on certain items cause they cost more parts to produce.
But don't do it if you're close to leveling up because this happened to me; I was hunting robots using the the Do It button and as I hadn't noticed I had enough robot parts to level up it leveled up. So I wasted all the robot parts on leveling up instead of crafting something.
It's actually 13 holo tulips
Odd i didn't make any of those mine says 12 needed.
I think you're misunderstanding what the game means. In game it says:
"Increase your crafting level with the next (X) demos"
They mean that for the next X crafted you will advance the little blue bar towards the next level, but once you craft more than this two things happen:
1) Additional items cost future bucks
2)They will no longer help you level up.
It doesn't mean after X amount you automatically level up. I hope I explained that well there.
Level 3 to upgrade the printer was 600 I crafted one item now if I want to level the printer it cost 420 to level it each item I craft lowers that amount. Which seems to indicate that once I craft other items I will reach level 3 for free.
