Don't need to hunt for robots, fast travel to them

You don't need to hunt down robots at all. Just leave your PolyVac in the middle of your screen and they'll come to you. Then activate the PolyVac every 4 hours and any that are hiding will be zapped.

Why does the placement of the PolyVac matter. Doesn't it kill all the robots in the entire city once the mini game is activated?

You get more robot parts if you clear your town first, then use the polyvac.

    Can you site your evidence?

Had an idea about it yesterday, tested it today. Didn't clear robots 1st and 3rd check and used Polyvac and got about 86 robot parts. 2nd vist i Cleared robots before, then used Polyvac, and got 86 ish parts.

Well that hasn't been my experience and I don't see it reported by others. Are you sure it said 86 and not 8?

    Isn't a max a town can have 80? How was it 86?

And to be clear, you're referring to the listed robots parts number that floats upwards right after you start the PolyVac (but before it actually is attacked)?

You're misunderstanding. I didn't say place it in the center of your TOWN, I said in the middle of your screen.

I leave my game open most of the time - even when I'm doing other things. Then I can look over occasionally and tap all the robots that have gathered on my screen around the PolyVac.

Of course you don't even have to leave it there. I'm crafting materials for the Heights right now and every time I go over to my PolyVac there's a bunch of robots gathered around it.

This is what I was thinking. I had a feeling that I was not getting enoughh currency because I was using the Polyvac first. I have started to tap robots first *using the method* then using the Polyvac.

It would prove very difficult to see any difference, depending on when the polyvac is ready and how many robots there are swarming at the time the Polyvac is ready to be used.
I have tried to count a number of times using screen shots.
After studying these screen shot images, there is no evidence that you got more robot parts when clearing them out first.
The first screen shots shore more robot parts after first clearing them before the polyvac. However the next screen shots show more Robot parts by using the vac only.
I believe it depends how many Robots you have swarming around your town at the time your PowerVac is ready to be used.

Ok, I see what the problem is here.

There are 2 kinds of robots. The Walking robots and the Flying robots.

When you first activate the Polyvac it sends out a blast that zaps all the Walking robots. The payout for that is in while lettering that floats up the screen.

Then the SciFighter minigame starts and the Flying robots appear. You tap them or use the Flash to get rid of them while the timer counts, then it pulses again and destroys the remaining Flying robots. Then you get a popup showing how many robot parts and such that you got.

    These are separate totals.

After you've upgraded the 3D printer and completed all the tasks, there's no longer a fast track option. It just takes you to the printer, but I guess is ok since they tend to all go there anyway.
