I can't find it with this new forum...it's a maze :unamused:

i want to complain about the beach hideaway thing to as many places as possible - EA, Apple, The Department of Consumer Affairs (bait and switch tactics are illegal), whoever!

please someone provide some links so that everyone from this forum can complain in unity....the petition thread will not do anything at all, apart from promote slacktivism

here is the link - https://help.ea.com/en/the-simpsons/the-simpsons-tapped-out/

  • This is from section 20 of the TOS, it seems the most direct way to make our complaints about deceptive sales tactics felt at EA. We CANNOT fill this out as a group, these must be sent individually.

    A. Informal Negotiations/Notice of Dispute. You and EA agree to first attempt to negotiate any Dispute informally for at least 30 days before initiating arbitration. Such informal negotiations commence upon receipt of written notice from one person to the other (“Notice of Dispute”). Notices of Dispute must: (a) include the full name and contact information of the complaining party; (b) describe the nature and basis of the claim or dispute; and (c) set forth the specific relief sought ("Demand"). EA will send its Notice of Dispute to your billing address (if you provided it to us) or to the email address you provided to us. You will send your Notice of Dispute to: Electronic Arts Inc., 209 Redwood Shores Parkway, Redwood City CA 94065, ATTENTION: Legal Department.

Also if you live inside the U.S. it is also your right to contact the Federal Trade Commission to report any deceptive or fraudulent sales tactics. They have a website for you to do so.

These are your rights as a consumer.
  • thanks for that info!
I have put in a kind request for a refund due to missing content via https://help.ea.com/en/the-simpsons/the-simpsons-tapped-out/

let me know if there is anywhere else i can complain to as well
  • please everyone put a complaint here - https://www.ftc.gov/faq/consumer-protection/submit-consumer-complaint-ftc

Can you only do this if you live in USA?
  • i dont live in the US and still made a complaint ;)

it would be great if they contacted EA after receiving so many complaints
  • Seems to me like they'll have to restore the multiplier. Refunding individuals the correct amount would be difficult and even a universal payout of 200 donuts would be unfair. Maybe they could offer people the chance to trade the buildings in for 40 donuts (dono how it would work but might ask people to decide if they were happy with 40 donuts/5% multiplier - personally, probably not, even though it's a good deal relatively)

At 10 million a level, the multiplier is just shy of useless now. Even if they restored it, it wouldn't help me in the slightest. They never even offered us the beach houses if they knew they were about to pull the plug on farming.

How many hideaways did you have and how much of a refund did they give you? Was it the same 40 they've been giving everyone else?
  • What kind of complaint did you make to get live chat?
PM me- I DO need Good Neighboreenos currently
  • I emailed them, hopefully i did it right as its not the most user friendly system
  • I did missing content. Someone else posted earlier about good luck through there and it worked. Took about 10 minutes from the 2 minutes I waited to b connected to a specialist. No hassle just a quick check of my acct and the donuts were immediately credited back.

40 donuts. I only bought 1. No room for more than that.
