Good job EA of running the Halloween event well into November again. Nothing says fun like grinding out a trick or treating event 2 weeks into November. Honestly this whole update is a complete debacle that has stole a lot of the fun in the game and trust of EA. Good job

  • I like it! I'd rather have the event last longer than have a downtime of two weeks!
  • Or they could have planned better and ended Halloween on Nov 1 and ran a new event after. We get non stop events now, which I like as well, but a little planning would go along way
  • I think they try to capture at least 2 pay periods in an event to up our likelihood to buy Donuts for the event.....
It IS long - but not enough to make me hate it
PM me- I DO need Good Neighboreenos currently
  • Eh, I don't mind. I prefer the longer events.
  • Its not that its a long event. I like the new format of long events, mini events, non stop events.

Its the fact that they plan the dates so poorly that we will still be doing a Halloween themed event 2 weeks into November.

I get that its a tradition on TSTO to overshoot the actual holiday date for events but can we finally break tradition and plan them a little better? In this new era (that i love) of non stop events I would think they could plan better and have Halloween end November 1, then go to next event or Tday event then start the Christmas/New Years event AND HAVE IT END DAY OR TWO AFTER NEW YEARS.

TL/DR Plan holiday date based events better, never feels right grinding out a Halloween event two weeks after Halloween
  • WAHHH!! this gane is too long! WAHHHH! I have to pretend it's Halloween when it's not. WAHHH!

This is just my opinion but I think it's good that it runs on into November a bit, Halloween doesn't just end on October, think of the kids that have another week of midterm holidays left after Halloween and the fact they probably have a two week supply of sweets. If it just ended you wouldn't really be playing the Halloween event in the Halloween period, and besides the way it is now it leads nicely into Thanksgiving and Black Friday doesn't it?
  • From memory every Halloween event that has been in tsto has run on into November so this one is no different it's also the same with the Christmas event going well into January, can't see them changing it now.

They should probably limit the acts to 2 instead of 3 or go back to the old format that worked so well in 2012-2013
  • Of course, they could always pull a swerve like with last year's Christmas event and have the post-holiday part of it acknowledge that it's afterwards and be sort of a cleanup kind of thing.
  • I just got the message "The story will continue in act two". Ok, is that next week? - NOOO it is in 10 days.
What I/we have to do now is to collect things for crafting, and some other things to get the act one prices.
Relly no difference than a non-event. Sort of.
Yeah, we will get some prices, but there is nothing fun and different happening, just re-assigning characters to their currency earning jobs.

Sort of a cheap trick, that one EA.
  • I'm kind of happy that it's a little longer, There are a lot of crafting items I want and I'm going to be doing a lot of re-designing :(

I'd say, if not ending exactly on Nov. 1 then just 1 week past Halloween. I'd be cool with that. Last year's THOH was boring at that point.

Why does everyone think Xmas starts MONTHS before its actual date and then ends abruptly? Because no one wants to care about the holiday afterwards, but beforehand is acceptable. Sometimes begrudgingly, but still.
Here is my signature. Or maybe it's not.
  • I like the Halloween event. Let it run two months. I'm cool with it.
  • They should keep it just as long as they do now but just start it a week earlier. I think most of us can agree we are ready for the Halloween event by that time.
  • it ends 2 weeks into Nov so they can then start a thanksgiving event right away and run that two weeks into Dec so they can start the christmas event and run that through the end of Jan at which point they start a valentine's day event and run that 2 weeks into Mar.....

    Very constructive.

OT I like events to be lengthier as long as they don't drag out or there isn't an extreme grind for items. Spacing it out also helps bring quality to an event considering there's more time to develop the upcoming updates.

The time after October does feel a little less magical than Halloween and the days leading up to it but I'd rather have a fun event to play than downtime.
