no wonder we can't earn Obels more quickly. They don't know how to trick or treat correctly. LOL. I followed a few of them the other day and they only tried to trick or treat at Bramble hedges and mausoleums. They walk past all the houses like they don't care about treats. Pretty sure in the past they actually went to houses.

Mine are spending way too much time at the vacant SPOOKY houses, and stopping at the SPOOKY trees, which clearly have no apples.

Yeah, disappointed that they don't properly visit homes. I'd love it if they visited and activated the house animation too!

Mine have taken to stopping by at the mausoleum and the fortress of solitude. Mulhouse seems to like the alley. Martin has visited the monorail depot. I guess the know something we don't.

As an experiment, I stored 4 brown houses, in an area with no trick or treaters, and replaced them with 4 spooky houses from storage (also making my town more visitor friendly), when I was finished I had trick or treaters!! ....they really shouldn't be in that part of town!

Same. My kids are literally all over the town...miles away from where they actually have to go.

Didn't really notice any of this. But just checked the game and watched them for a few minutes, and true they are approaching the hedges, the ruins, the mosuleam, foggy swamp.
But some did approach the Shinning hotel.

There is another issue that might be slowing down your obol collection. I didn't see any threads about it so I created a new topic:

It is definitely happening if you are not extremely careful to collect each obol from each child. I think you can even lose some while you are lagging.

I havent bought the new cobblestone road but I would if the trick or treaters were programmed to stay on the cobblestone road, would be a nice touch and keep everything Halloween themed in my Halloween themed area

I just got the forest cave and they go there it seems. I have my foggy swamp away from where I have the cobblestone road and they do not go to it. In my town they seem to be staying around the cobblestone.

Mine have almost exclusively stuck near the cobblestone streets. Maybe if you don't have enough of them, they'll wander off wherever?

mine like the MAG building, ruins, and Burns mausoleum but stay within a few blockes of the cobble roads. I had a spooky house placed a few blocks away before the event started and they leave the cobble to visit the spooky house

they all tend to walk the same path in my town as well. And I forgot they trick or treat at the count burns castle too.

i have a cemetery with cobble and a building area with cobble and a spooky wall between them. I have a concrete path from cemetery to the town that goes to a wailing wall as part of the spooky wall and the kids cut through the wailing wall

The kids in my town have all been staying in the area where I placed the MAG building.

Also Rod and Todd FINALLY get to trick or treat this year!
