I've been locked out for a couple of hours so far. Now I'm getting the EA network is unavailable. Hopefully it's fixed by the time I wake up. It's kind of funny but being locked out of the game even during a event isn't bugging me nearly as much as when the forum was down.
EA says to reset your password except you can't do that unless you log in, an my account is not loading on any of my devices. Can't go to the help center like they suggest because you have to you guessed it....log in !!!

just for the record, i didnt have to reset my password...but if you want to you can reset your password on ea website
Well over 8 hours of me not being able to play due to this problem. EA should compensate us event crafting currency and donuts for this mess. After all we are losing quite a bit of it at this rate. By my calculations it is about 100 Obols per 4 hours lost. The game at this point won't even let you attempt to sign in. You just get an error message "The EA network could not be reached at this time. Please try again later". Previously you would get an error message when attempting to log in.
EA should definitely give some kinda warning on when their servers will be up and running. Unlike other competent videogame companies like Sony, Microsoft or Nintendo.
I mean Sony gives us at least a heads up when PSN is down for maintenance.
What's EA excuse for their incompetence? None really, as far I am concerned.
I have the "cannot connect to server" error, which I presume is akin to what everyone else is getting. At least I was way ahead and got Death a day and a half ago. Now I'm just grinding for obols.

Uh, I really don't think this was planned in any sense of the word. It's obvious they are having some major technical issues. It looks like a major cascade failure in their authentication system.
I still remember when this game's authentication was handled by Origin. Origin may even have been hosting the gaming servers as well. Not sure about that, anyone else know?
