Have any of you ever tried to make a donut at home? My mom was a great cook, but her donuts made better weapons than food. Personally I'm scared of that big pan of boiling oil.

I use to make donuts in a cooking class I took in jr high...been thinking about making some in our deep fryer!!! Has anyone had any of the maple bacon donuts?? They look yummy!!!

Maple donuts are my favorite although i can't remember the last time i had one. Never tried bacon with it

my mother made homemade donuts a few times when i was a kid, they were fantastic being warm still
