Tree hugging rating help!

Hi! I began playing this game a few months after it came out and while all of my friends have stopped playing, I am still going strong. Loving this update!

I know it has been asked often but I cannot find a thread that answers my question well enough, maybe my search skills suck though?!

I have NEVER had all 5 stars. I have full stars for everything EXCEPT tree hugging (2.5 stars). I have a bunch of obols to spend and I am not sure which item(s) to buy. I am not sure if I am wrong in thinking that the more obols an object is the more %age points I get.

I feel like I have a zillion trees and cannot get more stars. Any help as to what would be the best to buy with my obols?

Thanks!

  • As for the craftables, if you look on LPN's walk through which is locked on the front page here go down to the bottom of his list and you'll see "conform-o-meter" it's all there :):)

This may not answer your question but my opinion, with such limited land with all the items in recent events tree hugger point not worth it. You just get 1% bonus for that star and you have to take up tons of land with trees and other stuff that do nothing. Just craft the items that appeal to you rather than going after stars imo. I've actually seen some "tree farms" lol
  • Dead Trees, Spooky Brambles, Spooky Grove, Forest Grove, Bramble Hedge, Spooky Tree
  • Tree hugging rating needs an insane amount of trees and such. There were/are a couple other things such as the recycle bins that contribute to it. I have a woods area for the cabins. Plus the most expensive tree and evergreen tossed all over. And 60 recycle bins. If I store the bins I lose a full star if I recall correctly. And I believe I have over 300 trees. Maybe as many as 400. And a few dozen hedges.
  • It took me forever to get my tree hugging up, only after I bought Akira, and had him making bonsais around the clock did I finally get it to 5 stars.
    Missing Character: The Barbarian
  • I got mine up with the bonsai trees and by "upgrading" all my trees from the cheap ones to the more expensive ones

  • Craft what you want don't do it to boost tree hugging. Crafting items are once a year.....you can boost tree hugging any number of ways.
  • I have lots of small hedges hidden behind buildings
We'll chew this planet up and spit it out!
  • Minnow ponds if my memory serves me correctly:)
  • Yes Minnow Pond increases Tree-hugging by 400 points (as does the premium Tree Swing and Apple and Orange trees). So many things give out tree-hugging points. Camp Fire 300, Angel Topiary 260, Green Peace Boat/Rabbit hedge/Homer's Hammock by 200. I think the Ficus plant from the Casino event was pretty good as well, at least is was small.

Pumpkin Patches 110 points and they don't even cost Obols.

OP you probably have lots of stuff in your inventory that raises tree-hugging. I've always had a lot of trees and nature decos and Conform-O-Meter for tree-hugging was the easiest to get full five stars after vanity.
  • He said he's pretty new.
I know I didn't have gobs of money to throw around starting out, just trying to save up enough to afford the next character or building I needed. Events can be a good way to pickup some conformometer junk while you save your real cash for characters/buildings.

To me this means that they've played for years

  • Here are a few of the items that have higher tree-hugging points, hopefully the info that I found is still correct:
200 points -Rabbit Hedge, Green Peace Boat
    260 points - Angel Topiary
    300 points - Campfire
    400 points - Minnow Pond

    80 points - Dead Tree
    90 points - Spooky Tree
    110 points - Pumpkin Patch

    200 points - bonsai

  • And don't forget if you are pressed for space, or you prefer to have a controlled design for everything you place, you can always place things *behind* buildings.

I did this with lots of items that I bought / placed solely to bring up my star ratings in one form or another. Multiples of some items are just ugly to plaster all over town, so I put things behind buildings all the time when I don't have a way to make it look good out in the open.
