How can you guys tolerate grinding for SH.

Hi,
I've been working on the SH for a couple of days to upgrade my SH Private island and get the Ornate piers. How can you guys tolerate grinding to get it. The 4xSH event got me to finish off everything except this but this is near torture. Is there going to be another 4X event or do I have to grind for ages to get it?

It's like one long continual tooth extraction, isn't it? No one knows if there will be another 4X event. In the meantime...grind, grind, grind.

you just need to look at it as a long task that you can complete over time - something to do between events. If you grind away at it, it will drive you insane.

I'm a fan of grinding in video games, so I don't mind it.

- Have some of the premium characters that help with the various SH currency.

- Dedicate a day or so to focusing on just SH. Just have your town up as you're watching TV, waiting for laundry to finish, etc. so you can mindlessly tap tap tap. You'll get into a rhythm, knowing to check every 12 minutes or whatever.

- I assume all your SH currency-making buildings are together? You don't want to have to scroll around at all.

I don't lol. I'm not interested in Billionaire's haven, it will go straight into storage so I don't feel the need to grind for it. After that is there any point in continuing except to reach a number? (Feel free to enlighten me, I genuinely don't know). However some players are completionists so they have to unlock everything.

I finished it during downtime between events. I upgraded everything so 1. I could unlock the character that comes with the Billionaire Haven, and 2. so I could change the facade of all the buildings. I don't really like the buildings, but they have greatly helped me acquire enough donuts that I never have to pass on the things I want.

I agree. After an initial spurt of constant grinding, I adopted a kind of slow-and-steady approach. It took me the better part of a year to get to 1.5B, at which time I stopped.

I just used to sit and grind away for a few hours per day while I was watching the TV here and there, eventually it was all completed it's just simply not something you can finish quickly.

I worked on designing my town as I worked on SH. I was able to get lots remodeled and it didn't seem as monotonous.

I hated the grinding. I do know that I lost a couple of long time (years) friends over SH.

I don't grind it. I just send the characters to get materials when I'm on to clear tasks for events.

Me too. If you use it (or even SF itself) as a dumping ground there is no payoff.

I despise it. After the 4x bonus was over I discovered I'd missed one building and have been putting it off ever since. I finally completed it this morning after I finished the Thanksgiving event.

Do you think the game developers get pleasure in torturing us? I have a bad feeling part 3 will start after Christmas. I want to send the hoodlum children of the game over to that side of town and torch it

I did it once, took ages, and finished it. Now the things don't float above the buildings and I don't have to do it any more. Worth the sacrifice.

I did the grind up to ~1.8 Billion. How could I tolerate it? I honestly have no clue...
