It's okay, would prefer a more Christmasy theme, but I understand they have to change it up. I'm not very religious, but I thought the line from Lisa about "only nutjobs" read the bible was completely unnecessary. Leave the religion bashing out of it, EA.

Agreed on that last point.
For some reason, I was half expecting them to throw a Hanukkah event in place of Christmas just to shake things up, so the pagan twist wasn't much of a surprise. Being the Simpsons, it honestly wouldn't surprise me for them to skip Christmas and go straight to a ridiculously long New Year's event.
I did pick up Ling, which was nice. Too bad the Black Friday event sucked up most of my donuts, so probably won't get much else. I don't have much land available for KEM farming
I love it being a pagan myself. It is such a nice change from the same stupid santa and kids stuff that usually consumes this time of year. Best winter update ever.

Respectfully, you're out of your mind. I get the content attachment for you, but every other aspect is underwhelming. No snow falling? Little new content, very little premium stuff, super crafting based, low neighbor involvement...
What's so good about it? The snow on the ground and that it's not linked to santa or presents??
What do you want for Christmas Johnny?
How about a goat god for your Satanist club and a nice circled pentagram to summon some demons with? I could have lived with a pagan theme, but this crosses the line.

That doesn't sound very respectful you big piece of turd. No, I meant that respectfully. Seriously.
1. There's snow everywhere. Everything is covered in snow. And what's so great about snow anyway? I hate it. It's messy, it's confining, it's slippery, it's cold and wet. I've never understood why people like snow. It's a hassle.
2. I'm not a big time premium player. Sometimes I buy premium content if I like it. (And I'm sure more premium content will be added later. This is like 2 hours into the update.) Premium content doesn't make a good update to me.
3. I love crafting, and for the record, this isn't really crafting. The best games I ever played involved heavy crafting, and unfortunately this doesn't come close to true crafting.
I love it because it's a great theme. It's more adult oriented and not kid's stuff like santa and cookies. I love the "Spring" henge. I've been to Stonehenge and I love it. It's an amazing place with incredible history. I like the variety with the main game and then the Gnome mini game. I think that's interesting. I like the Pagan NPCs walking around town. I like the general feel of it. It's a nice respite from the maddening Xmas hoo-ha that gets crammed down our throats every year from November to January.
I love it. Except the fact from the looks of it we're not getting any items at all besides the 'prizes' this year. They completely got rid of Crafting. So this year we're only getting a tiny handful of items. Unless there is 2 or 3 gil deals inside this update? I don't know....

Don't increase the Item Limit? Then I don't play. Period.

Am I misremembering the dialog? I thought she said ALL of the bible.

"Crafting" is in this update - it's at the Lumber Mill. 4hr construction time first for that though.
You use the runestones to buy items.

Yeah... what do I know. Respectfully, s*u*c*k* it.
huh?
Because all I see is the prize thing, the useless gnome thing that gives out currency which I can't spend. And there is that strange Antler thing that doesn't give me anything. Unless I got to spend a bunch of donuts just to unlock crafting. Because I got people on 4 hour tasks for the quest

I don't mind the theme, but it would be nice if it could incorporate the more traditional Christmas by showing how this Christmas tradition came from the Pagan tradition... i.e. once you satisfy the gods with x amount of runes, it turns into gift giving or something along those lines to make everyone happier.

Think a Pagan Twist might come with a splash of grenadine.
A pecan a day, keeps the doctor away...

Yeah, but you need really good aim
That was funny.
