If this event wasn't what you wanted, what exactly would you have liked?
If this event didn't float your boat or wasn't your cup of tea, how could it have been better? Repeat of a previous event? Something classic from the old episodes?
I personally would like to see Santa appear and perhaps be playable (wishful thinking). It would especially tickle my pickle if he would appear on Christmas Eve bearing gifts even LPN couldn't foresee. Waking up to gifts from EA on Christmas morning, based on how good or bad I've been, would be a nice personal touch.
Thoughts? How would this have been your dream holiday event?

That is all.
LOL...
I think donut farming has ruined the game's profitability and it will just be used to promote upcoming Simpsons episodes from now on.
Love The Simpsons, love the game, don't jump all over me for having an opinion.

Tuxes, hoods dont count.
If you want to take over the world.... i mean the holidays, you need to do it in style not smelly old cloaks.
There was a thread before X-mas where someone predicted penguins would be involved in the x-mas update or they wanted penguins, I forget. After X-mas hit someone joked that EA must have read that post too fast and thought it said Pagans.
I'm fine with what we got btw.
Exactly the same for me. Would like to have community prizes. Also I do like the shorter event, so I wish next events continue this style.
I get their trying something new - but I would have much rather seen a return (or variant) of last years present system. I really enjoyed that interaction with my neighbors much more than the usual "go and tap X NPC" in their town system.
It might not be that exciting, but I would have loved more winter costumes. I've been watching earlier seasons again and it would be nice to have more of the town's canon costumes and outfits. Kind of like Maggie's star outfit, there are winter outfits that have been in the show since the beginning. A wide selection of the town folk in winter gear would be a nice addition to the game (kind of like putting their lights up for Christmas, also bundling them up for cold weather).
I also would have liked to have seen the remaining kids (Lewis, Wendell, etc) introduced to the game along with the parson.
And I know it must be getting harder for them to come up with new winter items, but there's still a lot left untouched they could have went for instead of some 'blink and you miss it' items from a new episode.
An ice skating pond the kids could skate on, a sledding hill, snow forts and animated snow ball fights. These things have shown up in the show repeatedly over the past (nearly) three decades. Those would be much better additions that, you know, rocks and twigs.
No real visual tasks for this events participants (like trick-or-treating kids) I'd prefer group tasks with a visual, preferably AT the huge event hub thingy EA keeps making me build. How cool would it have been to have the Pagan participants going back and forth between their task source building and the event hub like they do for the railyard tasks instead of just hiding in Willie's Shack for 4 hours?
The event barely has anything to do with the episode, the ENTIRE Pagan Winter Festival scene is about 1 minute long. Most of the episode is about Reverend Lovejoy's struggles to keep his church filled, and Krusty getting converted to Christianity to be closer to his daughter Sophie.
Also gift giving to neighbors. Lewis Clark is on my top 10 of wanted characters!
There's websites which cannot be named that show how much each game is making if you're really curious about the profitability of the game. You don't have to speculate or wonder about the games financial health, they have GRAPHS!!!
I know it's a parody and it's intent is humorous. I have no problem with mocking things for fun, it's just, well- it hasn't been done well. The jokes are poorly written and they just go to satanic tropes, etc.
There's more clever ways to mock paganism. So many ways.
No, it's definitely not the worst event, we've had worse events even this year.
@heyababy47428 why cant the website be named? If its not something hacking the game, it shouldnt violate any terms. Id love a PM if you dont want to post. Thanks!
1. For the developers to omit or generally stow their obvious hatred for the Christian faith. In the VERY FIRST DIALOGUE they called people who read the Bible "nut jobs," and it isn't difficult to see how they feel about religion in other aspects of the game, such as the "first church of lard lad" and their pot shots at religion every chance they get.
That's fine, they're entitled to their opinion, but when most of the country observes the Christian faith in one way or another, what they're doing is obnoxious and uncalled for. Can the insults at the very least.
2. I would also liked a Christmas season update to have a single thing to do with Christmas. Paganism?! What the f*** is that? Far as I can tell, there's one Christmas tree in the entire update. No Santa, certainly no Christianity, no presents, nothing that typically marks the season except snow.
Absolutely the worst update ever.
But no, you'd rather WHINE and play victim when the game is not all about YOU and your belief system.
Grow up, face the real world, or quit.
You're sounding just like the a-holes that whined and screamed when TSTO did Pride Week.
Rant over.
