singing stones changes?

Were the singing stones changed with this update?! Or were they updated previously? Or have they always done that when tapped on but I was just too blind to notice?!

No, they light up a little showing the different symbols.

Pro Tip: If you tap them 6 times, pause for 6 seconds and then tap all six in a row.. they play "Stairway to Heaven"

I just tapped them in my town, I think they always did that.
