Same problem here in Omaha, Nebraska. I cannot logon. This is making me angry and frustrated because I'm missing out on several scenarios including the Monorail scenario where I will get five donuts. Most importantly, I can't get into the airport scenario where I missing out on today's prize. This one expires in a few days and does not repeat. I still have a lot of prizes to get. It wouldn't be so bad if the time requirements weren't so large. But now there is no way I'll get the three 4-hour tasks completed in the 12 hours required to do it, today. Grrrrr!

Omaha stylee did not think there was one

  • I was on for a bit, and then knocked off a few times. I'll try again in a few minutes.

Not in the clear yet according to Amazon:
Update at 12:52 PM PST: We are seeing recovery for S3 object retrievals, listing and deletions. We continue to work on recovery for adding new objects to S3 and expect to start seeing improved error rates within the hour.

Not a networking expert, but my interpretation is that loading stored items is starting to work but saving is not working properly just yet.

    You just got online??

    Chicago, USA 3:00PM/15:00
I'm headed straight for the castle
  • I got in twice for about 30 seconds and now all I get is the Bart screen :'(
  • I'm holding off an hour "just in case"
  • A shopping website has nothing to do with it.

Don't increase the Item Limit? Then I don't play. Period.

  • Nope hadn't noticed
  • Been down since last night in California
  • In NM and also down here haven't been able to get on all day

Update 5 The Amazon dashboard just updated the status of S3 Simple Storage System to:

We are seeing recovery for S3 object retrievals, listing and deletions. We continue to work on recovery for adding new objects to S3 and expect to start seeing improved error rates within the hour.

    Edit: Typo

One would think a company as large as amazon would have redundant servers so that if it failed they could flip a switch.

Just went to Amazon and bought a book to read. What else is there to do?

LOL! Cracks me up that we can still shop on Amazon.

Not familiar with AWS or S3. My interpretation is that loading stored items is starting to work but saving is not working properly just yet? i.e. we might get into our towns for a bit, but saving any changes may fail - therefore still too early to login

Amazon is a lot more than a shopping site. :p They are huge on servers/ server hotels /cloud and so on. Big companies from all over the world are using them for computer power.
