I was banned for 72 hours. Just got back my posting privs this afternoon. I didn't lose my previous posts or level 2 status as a result of being banned.

Came out of left field. I got banned for A TOS violation - "intention to scam". Had to look this up once I could log in again. Back on 1/20, I posted part of an old Nigerian scam message in reply to someone saying they were gullible. I thought it was obviously a joke, I even quoted the individual I was replying.

Guess EA didn't see the joke. Interestingly, EA didn't remove my post that got me banned...

Thanks, budley! Guess I'm a little addicted... First day wasn't bad ( other than that **** feeling). But on the second and third days I was jonesing quite a bit.

If you check the web you can find similar stories about suspended or banned accounts. Apparently EA is not very discerning when it comes to placing such comments in context.

What´s going on here? I am very sorry for you, josh! Hopefully it´ll get settled be EA shortly.
And I wonder if anyone of us is safe when banning gets done for no (accurate) reason...

Did you sign in with a different email that has the same username? I clicked on your name on another thread and your profile still shows your avatar, but with a different sign-up date then the one here.

Ty yea that must be it. I was on my origin account checking on an order last night. That must have caused the issue. Same email though. I think the username has an Xbox profile and whatever this is called. I guess I was on the Xbox side of it. Ty

If you have set up more than one profile for your email, you need to specify which one you'd like to use EACH time you log on. It's tricky if you use the same moniker for 2 or more profiles.

I haven't been banned, but I (along with a number of other forum regulars) were participants last year in thread that EA didn't appreciate and hence summarily deleted.
