I cant buy shovel nor can I find mom and pops store ( no options to buy shovels in store) also I bought sexy thing at store got rocks part but not lady that went with her and lastly I have no people to work for shovels ( the tasks dont show on peeps)
I have shovels now but my excavation site is just dirt and i cant dig. It's been stuck like this for days. I've tried all the ea troubleshooting with no change.
My game is constantly crashing during this event. The worst crashing is during the visits with neighbors; I can visit maybe two neighbors, and then the game crashes. Very irritating
Edit: D'oh, just needed to restart my iPad, and that fixed it.
Game crashes when I try to visit neighbors. It crashes when I am on my town and hit the neighbor button at the bottom right. I play on an iphone and have blown out the game and reloaded it.
But it hasn't helped. And ideas?
I sent Martin to tell a spooky ghost story and now I can't get him back. I thought if I sent a different kid to tell a story Martin would be available for another job. Now I have both Martin and Bart telling spooky stories and they're stuck there. Anyone else have issues with this? I logged out, restarted and everything I could think to do but they're both no longer available to do other jobs now.

Have you tried storing the library and Bart's tree house (which should store the characters too)?
Something weird happened to me after the last update:
1. The button to select the next person (top left) doesn't work anymore
2. The buildings in Springfield heights were reset, so I had to collect items again and pay to get access to all the jobs - however, the maximum storage is now 250, not 300
3. The tap radius (IRS) has been set to level 1, while my actual level (click on IRS Building is 6)
4. The redwood tree looks like level 1 now (I was one level before finishing it), the tasks also seem to be from level 1, but it says differently when I click on it
5. The money hill/mountain (Burns) has the same problem mentioned in 4
6. I can collect stars again (NASA or how they called it), that's from a really old event
I asked the EA help, and they gave me a list (what to do if there are problems in your town) and marked my question as solved (I assume they haven't read it at all). I followed the list, deleted the data, reinstalled the game, but nothing seems to work.
Has someone had a similar experience? How can I get EA to actually look at the account (the error seems to lie there) and not just give me standard answers? I cannot respond to the case sincwe it is 'solved' ...

Apologies if I’m telling you something that you already know. When something like this occurs, you must be persistent and re-engage with them, letting them know these first-order solutions didn’t help. If you’re not proactive, EA will simply assume the problem has been fixed.

The shortcuticon on the top left is without function.
The circle for ending quests and timetravelers were set back to the minimum, but i was in higher steps in act 2.
The cool down of the grill was set to the max of 24h but i was down by 4h.
And there are many more Problems since Tuesday, June the 20th.
Please help

The shortcuticon on the top left is without function.
The circle for ending quests and timetravelers were set back to the minimum, but i was in higher steps in act 2.
The cool down of the grill was set to the max of 24h but i was down by 4h.
And there are many more Problems since Tuesday, June the 20th.
