Any DW fans ?

As I've been waiting for this day well for two days (but it's seemed a lot longer) but now I want to know is there any fans of doctor who ? And are you exited to learn who the new doctor is going to be today ? Also do you have any speculation on who it is or any fan faviourte actor or actress to play the doctor?

EDIT: sorry if I spelt anything wrong or anything gramicality incorrect but I just woke up and could hardly sleep last night.

Yes a fan although my excitement for this change is pretty muted. Peter Capaldi was good in the role but just didn't get many decent scripts to work with. They could easily make a wrong turn here by choosing someone less capable.

Suggestions circulating include...

Kris Marshall
Jodie Whittaker

...although it's just as likely to be a surprise as previous announcements have been kept under wraps quite successfully.

I find it boring. Ok granted I've seen a season of it can't remember which one but it was recently I can't get into it.

we all have our taste in television shows. I think it's one of the best TV shows ever. I liked Buffy about just as much. Both are well written, acted, and if you watch them in order and pay attention there's payoff after payoff unlike shows that make up stuff then forget it was ever mentioned. Both Doctor Who and Buffy have had clunker episodes here and there.

@johncolombo I did like buffy but I went off it and I agree it's a good show. As for changing your avatar I'd have kept it as I did like Matt smith as I found his one liners very funny and I think he executed them good. If I was you I'd stick with whom is your favourite time lord

Just seen the announcement and to be honest the choice was of no great surprise, although it will be very different to see a female Dr I'll give it a try and see if they are any good in the role, wonder if Chris Chibnall joining the team had anything to do with the choice.

yes Chris Chibnall was the one who picked the actor as he is the new show runner

Peter has grown on me over his 3 year run. I'm going to try him out for awhile.

Matt Smith episodes are my favorite. I stopped watching after the first season of Capaldi. Just could get into the character.
