I'm going through withdrawal! As a paying customer I expect some quicker action on EA's part to correct this issue with not getting past the opening screen. EA you suck!
Just downloaded the latest update and got a complete game crash. Can not log in to the game at all. Upon opening the game, I get a looping harp sound and the screen freezes. I know this "Harp Freeze" has been an issue for some players in the past, and it has been said to last for weeks. Does anyone know how it was resolved or what to do? Is it a complete delete / reinstall of the game?
After random update today ( was same size and number of updates as yesterday) I have exact same issue and bug initially reported by OP and everyone else. I have to assume some of our accounts somehow got tagged to download an improper update. Hope ea gets this going again soon.
Just posting in case ea happened to actually look here once so they know many folks are having the issue. Also I think it's more of an origin issue as if I log out and just play as guest there is no issue at all.
had to an update to the game today, now stuck on loading screen with the harp noise repeating. it seams that it is my login only. game runs smooth when signed in as guest.. any ideas on how to fix!! really frustrating

There is no way of fixing it. We need to wait until EA updates the game AGAIN.
