The name thing isn't an issue since they would just give Armin his real name. Everything that you said about Skinner can be applied to Hank Scorpio aside from the opinions regarding it being the worst episode.

Let's be honest, that isn't going to happen. That would just be confusing to everyone who plays the game, especially if they watch the show (where he is known as Skinner), but haven't seen that one particular episode.
We have Hank Scorpio and Luigi. Why is Seymour Skinner such a bad option?
Because that name is already taken by a character in the game?
Because half of us (maybe more?) either didn't know or had forgotten who he is?
Because many of the players of this game weren't alive when that episode aired?
Because he wouldn't be voiced?
Because "many critics agree that the episode signaled a decline in the show, with several referring to it as the real 'worst episode ever'"?
That sux. It sounds like you completely missed out on the Simpsons being a great show. You should buy the DVDs of the first ten years and watch them. It was a completely different and much, much better show back then.
Realistically, they should add Agnes first before her actual biological son. Or, "Skinner's Mom" to those who aren't as dorky as me and know her first name... lol
I actually quite enjoy that episode. The end scene where they have, I guess, the real Skinner tied up on the back of the train and he cries out, "But I'm a war hero!" Homer replies, "And we salute you for it," and the train starts moving. I laughed so much.

That. I completely forgot who he was. And he was only in one episode.
My post is to dcline.
Just because you weren't alive is no excuse not to have seen those episodes.
Too bad only seasons 1-2 and 20+ are available on iTunes.
