I personally bought the Wiggum house and experienced no problems.
Isn't it rather silly to project your own problems onto the rest of us and generalize your issues in this hysterical thread?
Exclamation points and capitalized letters as if you had inside info that affects every player there is.
Tsk, tsk. Shame on you.
You have a problem. Post that you have a problem and maybe some of us can help you troubleshoot the problem.
Like what platform are you on?
How big is your Springfield?
Do you have a lot of decorations?
Do you have a lot of free RAM on your device?
Have you tried restarting your device?
Tried deleting the app and reinstalling?
Tried logging out of Origin and logging in again?
My issue was with the fear-mongering and telling people that if they build a certain building their game will stop working. That is obviously not true.
I dunno - I got hit at Thanksgiving (although now it's pretty clear that was an Origin login server/capacity problem of some sort) and now this. Once I get back in I know I won't be activating any new content from an update for a day at least, and I will be watching the forum to see if there is a spike in complaining. About every third update seems to be a bad one that affects a significant amount of people

I mean, really. Grow up. Use your brain. And cut out the hissy fit hysteria. It's irritating.
Very well said. Unless the OP is a coder that has decompiled the app as well as the origin plugin and then remotes into the servers and reviewed log files do not post an opinion as a definitive answer. There are plenty of non techie folks playing that will take you at your word and you will ruin their experience more than this unfortunate outage is causing a small percentage of players. Yes I'm one of the affected and it frustrating.
Haha ****? I never said this affects everyone. FYI, this bug is affecting many users, not just me. It seems to be occurring when players have built the wiggy, house from previous threads read.
Also, this post was a warning that you could risk getting this bug. Maybe read it again before you get on your high horse. Who is the silly one? I'm just warning other users out there. Grow up? Use your brain? Maybe bite your own lip.... Shame on you...[/quote]
Using an absolute statement of "you will" does not make this a warning. Instead you should have stated "you may". By all means keep posting your opinions and issues so ea can see them but don't bully people with definitive statements.
This just happened to me this morning and I've had the Wiggam house for a while now. I just built El Chemistri and everything went wonky and the harps started signifying an end to my gaming for now.
I think the bug is on the server side and is triggered when its triggered.
Or like me and many others, you will risk freezing your game and getting stuck in the harp loop (see other thread) !! I can't get into my game anymore. Seems to of happened after the last update... Dodgy code that wasn't tested enough. Not happy!
When you experience these sorts of problems, PLEASE also post on the EA Answer HQ forum. EA will see that and attempt a solution. You may click or tap "me too" to the 1st post in the topic that closely matches your issue and/or post your own reply and issue description. According to that thread as well, it is not only the Wiggam house that may trigger the harp and freeze, but any action taken after the 2nd update "fix" for this specific issue.

I hope this is fixed soon as, like the Gil donut bug at Christmas, it has affected quite a few people. I do think it is helpful when people post their experiences and thoughts about them, as I have yet to get any constructive help from EA. I did get an iTunes refund. And I had to erase my ipad to get back into the game. I live in an anxious state wondering if the next glitch will affect my game and these threads help provide info.
Sorry about my tone in my reply above. Bad day taken out here.
Again sorry.
The tone may have been a little over the top but sometimes folks need a wake up call and your post is very detailed on what people should try and do before doing the sky is falling routine.
When I got the harp freeze, I just finished building Ralph's house. But I was able to get back in by just opening and closing the game 2 times. Right now I just finished building El Chemistri and I put Ralph and Wiggum to the task and exit the game. When I went back to the game, I got the harp freeze again. So I try the fix that first worked for me and after about 20 times of completely closing the game and opening it, I still wasn't able to get back in. So I try the second fix posted in the other thread by just leaving the game on the harp freeze screen for a long time. I was going to leave it for up to an hour. After about 15 minutes the harp sound changed and went faster, then it slowly went back to the slow harp sound. After about 5 minutes of the slow harp sound, the sound went away and the login screen remained for about another minute. Then the screen went black but I can see my task bar and my town but it was tinted black. Then it became colour and everything working fine again. So it took about 20-25 minutes to get my town back

No reason for you to be an a$$. Honestly.

How about that Ralph update that's unplayable?
