Big future updates

I don't see any of the updates being as big as Christmas but I think it would be in EA's interest to do big updates regardless, because that's what drives them to log back on and play again. There will always be something.

Easter is a bigger deal than valentines in the UK and I would assume in the US as well but confirmation from someone accross the pond would be nice. I'm sure that will be the next thing.

Then, there will be wacking day at some point, which should take us through to the beginning of June. I'm not sure what they may do after that. I do think they will expand to the Sea at some point which could be a big update over the summer, without a theme just lots of new stuff to do.

Yeah i mean you could do a big "summer" update. I mean i know it isn't really a big event but theres loads you could do with regards to adding beaches the water, boats all sorts. I'd imagine EA doing something for that

I'm not bothered how big they are, as long as they keep releasing updates so I have new things to do and build :-)

Agreed, the next building needs to be the courthouse.

Or the mall :D! It would be so cool, if it's as big as the powerplant - or bigger

The new rabbit-hedge seems like foreshadowing of an Easter update to me.

But due to Easter's vicinity to Valentine's Day and religious overtones, I doubt it will be a "big update". My prediction is that it will be comparable to the Thanksgiving update, offering a few new decorations and/or buildings but not setting up its own form of currency.

A summer update would be a lot of fun, I too would love to see some water-based items.

There was rumours of a summer update, although I think it was Wikipedia, that would come with things like Kamp Krusty and swimming pools, and a few other things.

Modern Easter isn't any more "religious" than modern Christmas... Egg-laying rabbits and candy makes it about as religious as Saint Nick or Saint Valentine.

I think they'll do minor updates/events for the mini-holidays. Maybe there's Saint Patrick's Day (or spring break?)...

I feel that they get a bit stale when they last too long. This V-Day one is getting old, to me; so I wouldn't go for an all-summer event unless it was packed with content.

I think that it's more likely that they'll do something for Mother's Day/Father's Day events (since the game centers around a family), Memorial Day, and Fourth of July as separate events. Most of the games out there do "holiday" themed releases, so it wouldn't really surprise me if this one jumped on that bandwagon.

They may also come up with calendar unrelated mini-events like the "Cool Homer" thing.

I for one would love a *. Patrick's Day content update where the release The Old Irish Man as a playable character, maybe 1 or 2 other characters, an Irish Pub, 1 or 2 more buildings, some decorations & maybe even Ralph's Leprechaun.

As for Easter and other holidays, I'd welcome them all.

There are the files that people have found which point to there being a Whacking Day update & Kamp Krusty update. So those would be cool too

Would also love more episode tie-ins that bring in content

There will probably be an Easter event with the currency being eggs.

So when do you think they'll actually give us Gill as a playable character considering we've already had a glimpse of him.

    Plenty of ideas...

March: *. Patrick's day updates...collect 4 leaf clovers to buy items that cost x amount of 4 leaf clovers

April: Easter...same concept, but with easter eggs

    May: whacking day

    June: Summer update/Kamp Krusty

July: 4th of July stuff...collect fireworks or sparklers

August: Simpsons family goes on vacation, so vacation stuff (cabins, lakes, water activities)

    September: Stuff related to autumn

I enjoy new buildings and characters, but I don't mind new objects. I would like to see an object overhaul this summer.

    (1) Allow the full rotation of fences.
    (2) Separate vanity and tree-hugging objects.
    (3) Fix the dimensions of some of the objects like the volleyball net and lawn chair.

    Tiles: Dirt
Objects: Street lights (for parking lots), trees in planters (for urban areas)
Buildings: Noiseland Arcade, Springfield Mall, Kamp Krusty, another generic house
