EA In No Rush To Fix Harp Freeze

Actually I'm one of the oldest players here and have been playing the game since launch (March 1st) and I have never been affected by this "Harp Freeze" and there are other long time players who haven't been affected either.

And I'm sure EA is well aware of the problem and are probably trying to fix the problems. Have some patience man. No game is without its glitches and bugs.

There is no doubt in my mind that EA is well aware of the Harp Freeze issue. It seems clear to me that the loop is due to the game wanting to level up to Level 27, for which the app has not been updated. I believe this is analagous to the two weeks that folks were locked out when they prematurely received the "Wiggum/El Chemistri" update and were only let back in the game when the update went out globally as scheduled.

Because the Harp Freeze affects only long time players (and I've been playing the game since August of last year), it would seem that the bulk of TSTO players, especially newbies, are unaffected and thus are able to blithely play the game and continue to enrich EA's coffers with Donut purchases.

In short, while a lot of folks have been able to get past the Harp Freeze Deathlock (and for some of those folks to then access a Bonus Donut glitch, which must really bug the hell out of EA), I've resigned myself to the fact that I'm likely locked out until the next update, which probably won't arrive until March. I hate you, EA programmers. With a passion.

I imagine you must be pretty peeved, I would be as well.

Just remember to give them a "glowing" review in the App Store, that's the only way we can let new players know before they start giving EA all their money

Very well put Deadshot. I am just as frustrated as stevieort, but being in the business, most don't realize the unbelievable number of moving parts something like this takes. Everything from the coders, to the databases, to the servers, to the datacenters and within what I just mentioned there are about 10,000 things that can go wrong. It takes time to get through all of those items, especially without running the risk of taking others down.

What concerns me the most is the lack of post monitoring and support EA has for the game. They should have known the issues were happening even by monitoring their own forum, answers site and help site and started working on it immediately. Then to be radio silent about it until we found an exec's twitter page to get heard and get a response from the company is just obscene.

We will play again and we will have lost a little progress in the game. It's not the end of the world.

I have to say I believe we'll see a fix sooner rather than later, basically because money talks. Yes, it does seem to affect mostly people who have maxed out their levels, but those are the people who are most likely to spend money. And while there doesn't seem to be a ready user end fix, the one fix that's available (waiting through the loop) often results in a "harpload" of donuts.

I've been playing since Feb 2012 , even longer than the guy above, and I've not gotten it either.

I've been playing since August, I built all level 26 items without a hitch, so it can't be that link. I'd l,e to say they'll fix it, but this happens with every update they release, somebody always gets a glitch and it takes them a lifetime to fix it.

As far as the harpies goes, i did what someone did and it worked? i started the game as normal and just let the harp play and it took about 10-15 min to let it play out and then the game started as normal and haven't had any issues since then.
