Thanks for my rating (C+), but can I ask what your grading criteria is?
What are the things that push your ratings higher? Originality? 3D effects? Lots of decorations? Realism?
Good Question, a teacher always has to explain the grades given
She actually gave a decent explanation of how she graded in her post in the other forum that was locked. I copied it from that post and here ya go.
"My grades were based on the following criteria:
-Practicality / Realism / Functional
-Organization
-Attention to Detail
-Variety
-Creativity
-Artistic Merit
-Macro Concept"
I know this whole topic is a hot button one but I personally would just take it for what it is. One persons opinion. That said I'm shooting for an A+ down the road. I have made quite a few changes already vs my panoramic that was judged. Two more weeks or so and ill have all the land and can finish my town right proper.
Lol ill probably re submit and drop a grade or two. I will then rage against this thread.

The criteria was posted above. In all honesty, C+ was pretty harsh for your town as it is really nice (perhaps, B- is more appropriate based on the level of detail). The reason for the grade (and a lot of others disappointing grades by other users) is around clutter. EA made it way too expensive to buy land and because of this you have everything jammed together. Your Mr. Burns house is really nice but let me ask you a question: wouldn't it be nicer if there was more room? Wouldn't it be nicer if the putt-putt golf course didn't back on to the side? It would be pretty easy to get to a B with your town. Now for how to get to an A let's look at Neo's town.

B+ is great, but the people within the A range are doing two things that you aren't.
1. You do not have much of a macro concept. Houses are with houses and the jail is on the edge of town, but if you look at people with As it is like they sat down with a pen and paper and planned where every building was going such that it complimented each other. They have rivers or lakes that flow through their town that make sense. They have forests where there should be forests.
2. You are not showing me anything that I haven't seen anywhere else. I know...I know...this is tough, but we all need to get those creative juices flowing.
If I wanted to get picky I would also say the brown and white houses at the top seem misguided and there still is a little bit of cramping but not as bad as others.
A bit of harmless fun.
Thank you for understanding that this is not to be taken too seriously.
Thanks for the flattery but I would appreciate it if you would remove my name from the list. I don't wish for my town to be up for your grading.
No problem. I have removed your town.
I have to add that I (and my help) can't actually write reviews on every town but I think the two reviews above are helpful for everyone. Also, about 50 more people have added me and I will try to grade them this week. Finally, nobody has achieved an A+ so that is still out there for the taking.
Heh! This is a good bit of fun, now isn't it?! Reminds me of the episode when Lisa so badly wants to be graded. Well, I'd like to know what you would grade my town. I think a little creative criticism is always helpful... I mean, truthfully, makes us all kinda strive that much harder for perfection, which is a good thing!!

Dose this mean the you won't be accepting the friend requests till the weekend as well? I added you yesterday and you haven't accepted yet.

Thanks for the constructive, honoust feedback.
I usually wait until the game gets updated before I buy any new land
I added about 35 additional people. Here are a few comments:
bennyticklez - We can't wait to see what you do next. Fantastic town!
bluehill1 - We honestly love your style. Too bad you don't have premium items. I sense big things coming from you in the future (once you get all the land).
am4692 - Beauty and the beast? You have absolutely amazing parts of your town and other parts...
RockALittl3 - Tough town to grade. Very good execution.
Rynan1981 - Great town! Just a few things holding you back. One long road?
lewisbyrom - We are looking forward to see you with a more finished town. Too bad about the lack of money (house farm).
Be aware that if you add me and you are level 0-20 you are almost certainly going to get an F or D. I don't really see anyway around it but prove me wrong!
Some really fantastic towns submit over the last couple of days. Some true artists are out there!
I am sorry, but I am just not getting this. It seems like some kind of popularity contest. Also, who are the "we" behind the "grading". It must be me, though, because people are really jumping on this bandwagon, so more power to you, I guess. I think I would get it more if you would post a panoramic of your town and the towns of the other "judges".
Oh well. *shrugs shoulders* To each his own.
(I mean no disrespect by this, just confused that's all. You certainly don't seem to have been rude to anyone.)

I agree with this. What is the point of grading?
Why would any of you want someone grading your town? Would some random person telling you your town is good or bad do anything for you?
I make my town for me. I don't care if anyone likes it or not. If you want to say you like a part of my town great. It's not going to affect me one way or the other. The joy of this game is we all get to make Springfield in are own image. The only thing that ever bugs me in other peoples towns is when Flanders is not next to the simpsons home. Other then that go nuts.
Hell this person better have the best looking town with every premium to act as if they know anything.

I'm adding you now

Are you all of "the judges?" It's still good, but just asking.
Once again thanks to all the judges that took part in grading my SF.
PS:- please continue to grade SF's.
