Apparently when you log out with negative donuts and log back in it resets to zero.

My friend tried this and after about an hour of buying up and speeding up stuff he got the harp freeze and the conventional recovery methods didn't work and its been that way for at least 2 weeks.

    Seriously not worth the risk.
It is the speeding up that harped him. Getting too much XP and leveling up too many times is what harps you. He probably bought the expensive items like escalator ETC and sped them up.

People believe the harp is from this building or that but IMO you get it if you do the bonus level too many times.

I read somewhere that someone believes the bonus levels are like a stack of cards that keep piling up. The bug is in the bonus level game and not any of the buildings that is why you hear so many different stories of when they got harped.

The donut bug? I hear they have a pill for that. This game is really infectious. Harpies and donut bugs everywhere!!

Still I don't think it's worth the risk. What if EA find out you're doing it and charge you for donuts used..? It wouldn't take long to accumulate $1000 in donuts if you're cashing them in for money.

It cost 6000 donuts for 1 million in-game dollars.

They don't have access to your information. Are they going to send you a bill? You risk harpies just by playing the game.

i'm guessing you don't understand what jail breaking means. jail breaking your phone IS NOT ILLEGAL. Just because someone has their iPhone jailbroken doesn't mean they are doing anything illegal either.
Yes there are websites out there that promote using cracked apps and ways to hack certain games to do certain things.

THIS IS NOT A HACK. Repeat. THIS IS NOT A HACK. It's a bug/glitch inside the game.

The real problem here as it's been mentioned before is the OP has brought on a lot of attention to this bug.

Which is around $200 real money. Given my mate said he managed to end up at -130,000 donuts even buying them by the boat load that's about $3200. If they somehow charge your iTunes account cos you used their in game currency, you're stuffed. Like I said, not worth the risk.

Serves them right if you ask me. I have spent over $300 of my real money on this game. While I'm not complaining (or am I?) for that amount of money I should be allowed to do whatever I want with the game. If I wanted to rush a corn grow, for example, that would cost me multiple hundreds of donuts or roughly $60-$80 (real money) at least. The in-game payout for corn is only $45,000 and 9,000 XP. Just my buildings earn that in a day. It's highway robbery. Plain and simple and now people are taking them to the cleaners.

People are forgetting the previous Donut bug, and friend-glitch.

    Was anyone charged for that?

    no.

    Was anyone banned?

    no.

    Do they really care?

    no.

    Wanna know why?

They know full well if they kick off their most loyal players, they're screwed. These people will still play, and most likely, even after this, will buy donuts in future. I think it bottles down to money, EA are gonna get 'Boatloads' and I think their main priority at the moment is keeping the game alive, glitch free.

If anything, this person has done them a favour by finding the glitch NOW, rather than later when there are WAY more premium items to buy.

I certainly hope so. Then perhaps this thread will finally die.

I'm surprised this thread has lasted this long. They're usually pretty quick to delete this sort of thing.

I've spent way to much money on this game to risk it on some stupid glitch. I'm holding on to my 500 donuts for the next update.

Does anyone know if this has been stopped in the latest update?

Or in my case, you have not done the march 6th update but the saint Patrick's day updates come through (about 8mb I think it was) ?

    Thanks
