By design or glitch?

I stumbled across something that made me go "hmmm". When moving some small items you are able to "hide" them in some buildings. For example, I moved my black hole to the roof of the penitentiary. When you exit to normal screen, it is hidden inside the building. I also tried it with a bench on the House of Evil and a small shrub in the middle window of the police station.
Anyone else notice this?

I don't think the game logic considers the items you mention to be "in" the buildings; rather, they are "behind" the buildings.

I know what you're saying, but there is "nowhere" behind 2 of the 3 buildings I mentioned. The mountains are behind my jail, for example.

I'll keep experimenting and see what I can come up with.

I'd have to see a series of screen shots or repeat the the effect you cite with my own town to believe this. I just don't think the game is set up to allow two objects to occupy the same space.

You're correct. There was a space between the buildings that gave that illusion.

In the words of the immortal one... DOH!

    Heh, heh. No problem.

I did a little testing myself. In one case I had almost convinced myself you might be right. It was very easy to see how you were fooled by the optics of the game.

Would have been neat if true, though.
