Hey everyone this is jetblackf22. I do apologize for all of the friends that I have removed over the last few days. My city has been very dysfunctional and is almost unplayable. My city keeps freezing and shuting the game down. I noticed all of these problems becoming more frequent as I added friends. So it's nothing personal. If this problem gets fixed i will add all of you back on. Thanks for all of the compliments on my city. Hope to see you guys again soon.

Oh that's good to know (well, for me, not that you're having performance issues :P).

I managed to grab a couple of screenshots from your town (I've started doing that with the really good ones) but it would be great to see it again so I'd love to be added back if you get back up and running again. :-)

I definitely have seen some great ones, in my list Deadshot's town is quite nice, and I always find myself scrolling around ewaldklement's town.

While I don't think my town is great, I am trying to build more of a water town with only a few major streets for the characters to walk on, otherwise most everything is its own island. This has been tough what with needing a ton more land, so there are a few things that I have had to settle on for now, but I am starting to actually get to move a few things as I am expanding. Debating if I should hold off on the apartment, see if the price will go down after Halloween in case they release more items, so just buying land for now.

I would love any HONEST comments about it, yes, you can tell me it is no good.

Your island town is definitely unique! Much more interesting to look at than house farms. You do have some brown house farms on top, but it doesn't look bad. Nice job overall. :D

I'm still working on expanding, so my town is probably boring.

Thanks to Get Stephen for starting this thread. And thanks to everyone here who has accepted me. There are so many great ideas out there.

Today I got to check out craines7 and it is really nice!

It seem like the key is having lots of land so things aren't too crunched together. That's what I'm working on.

zuzupj, thanks for the input. I will admit that you as a Z user name I have spent a bit more tp and eggs on you.

My brown houses, while yes a farm, did try to offset to visually break it up and I see that as my low rent district, the row houses if you will. The apartment will head up that way.

Also the concept behind mine is that Fink is the only one that has a connection to the outside world, the rest will essentially be set up that water circles them, hard to do as I still buy land....and yes the brown houses hit the mountains, so essentially I am using those as if they are a natural barrier, cheating I know, but my version of The Prisoner town if you will.

Also the rule is no houses or land can touch the roads.

Thanks for your input. And I definitely like your town, feels like a real community and I like how you have laid it out so far, have always loved your cemetery, the Moes next to it, the phone booths right there and your Cletus farm is quite nice.

Ha ha, that is brilliant!

    Mdfriend, I like! Very different.

When I first used the water, I kept trying to put plants right on the shore. I didn't like the cut out look of the water banks. I wanted it more natural. But it doesn't look odd in your town.

On another note, I planted a Rosary Garden next to the church. :)

Mdfriend, I loved your version with all the mini islands. The slight offset in your brown house farm was a really nice touch. But for some reason, what I found most amusing is that even though each building is its own mini island, some of the businesses had parking!

Once I get more land, I may redesign my Springfield so it has more whimsy. Thanks for the inspiration!

Today I discovered a soccer field in jofre_nash's Springfield and I love love love it! Hope to get enough land to copy it some day. What a grea idea. The mazes are fantastic as well.

My other favourite overall is rrss0006.

And my other fave is odalen_j who has a nice overall town and a great spooky forest around the Bad Dream House.

Now that I've started adding friends it adds a lot more creativity to the game. Keep it up everyone!

I really like your town. I love the apt complex.

I have not tried this, but for those that want a brown house farm, but want to make it look like something, with a bit of creativity, you could build Fort Springfield the military base. The brown houses kind of look like army barracks, and you could surround it all with barbed wire etc.

Blkmrkt181 don't generalize. I've seen many Springfield towns with house farms arranged creatively like condos, neighborhoods, or apartment complexes.

For instance: Emdacy, justinomaha, Yatzilla or my own town are good examples.

So yes, there are several aesthetic ways to arrange your "house farms"; and toddt888 's idea doesn't sound bad at all.

I'm a having the same problems, if I move around too quickly, tapp things too quickly or just do everything at normal pace, my game exits, this also happens whenever I tapp the build menu, which is frustrating because I can't build anything now, and I can't access my inventory either, it gets very frustrating as I am trying to rebuild my Springfield, but I can't with it crashing every 2 mins and not being able to access the menu.
