Potentially the best event ever...

After what I've seen so far and after reading LPNintendosITA lists of what's coming I can safely say this will be my favourite event of all time. Sorry Casino event you just lost top slot.

Lots of new and 'series relevant' characters and buildings.

A new spin on the crafting section that actually makes you want to craft the items rather than just put them straight into storage.

A quest line that is realistically achievable even for a casual player.

I got serious flak at Christmas for calling 'Emperors new clothes' on the Christmas event which I thought was stale and lazy but EA have really redeemed themselves this time around this feels fun and fresh again.

  • I think it's quite the good event for Premium Players and Donut Farmers, because lots of great stuff will be available for Donuts only. I also like the crafting and increasing my Duff Beer multiplier.

On the other hand I have the feeling it's not so great for freemium players. During Christmas even the freemiums got a lot of great new characters, this event seems to consist of a lot of skins.
  • There's some nice content being released throughout the whole event but unfortunately for me once the event is over most of it is destined for storage.
  • I like the content but I'm bored of these repetitive 3 act 4hr events. :/

Maybe it will change once Microsoft buys EA but until then we're stuck with this mechanic.
    Here have a banana!!
  • Bart fighting a dystopian gang. AWESOME! EA finally gave Bart an event. An event that makes sense for his character. Bart in a way is a leader, as he can round up his fellow peers to fight for a playground. He did it against Nelson.
Will there be death from above waterballons?

Sound I buy Wendell or the dodgeball kid? Or anything else special?

I empathise with the frustration around '3 act/4 hour' format.

However as the game is based on sending characters on timed missions I can't see anyway it could be drastically changed.

I for one cant think of a better framework for events and I have come to accept that's the way it will be. The elements that make or break an event for me are the theme and rewards.

  • Start the characters for four hours. Collect the wanderers. Craft some junk. Rinse. Repeat.

Washing my hair is more entertaining, and I'm bald.
All my designs look unfinished because i can't place as many plants, streetlights, and fences as i would like. PLEASE REMOVE THE LIMIT, EA!
  • As usual its not the event thats interesting for me but the premium stuff attached
  • All relative right? Good to see people get that same kick out of the game some of the old-timers did years ago.

The main plus I'll give event thus far as I haven't rushed through the prize track like I usually do.

  • Not THAT great, but content wise its sure one of the best
  • I think the four hour style is nice. I don't want to be tied to my iPad all day. I just want the prizes.
Make Nightmare Pile like Zombie Sandwich. All kids trick or treat at once.
  • No and No, I’m just not feeling like it is, I’m bored with the same thing every 4 hours. It’s become a chore to log in to rinse and repeat. I don’t want to miss out on the items as I’m a completionist, but I’m not enjoying it. There have been better events. It seems like it’s a compromise. Either you get great content and a poor storyline, or loads of crappy items to store and a great story and dialog.
  • Yeah they should totally bring back the wheel. >:)

  • What? There's an event on? right now? If you put the playground in the lower left corner of town all the tappable ruffians come and stand in formation right there in front of it. (so your finger can bowl a strike every time.) Looking at the Dates page of new content didn't arouse me like how some people here have said they're hot for stuff (HFS). But then again I have no idea what most of it is, so we'll see.

Seems to be the go to standard for events currently and I think that everyone got spoiled over Christmas with the gift of event that they gave us, but I suppose that they could spice it up a bit for you if you like, how about being forced to login every 2 hours, lol
  • I don't care for this event. I hate apocalyptic-mad max teamed event. I'm just grinding for donuts until this event is over, because I sure as **** aren't spending it on this crap.
  • I usually enjoy events that incorporate other characters rather than just the standard norm.
  • Nah, best event ever was Christmas 2013, in my opinion of course.

Its a good solid one, but not the best. The most things added are destroyed Skins for Springfield buildings. Who wants after this Event a destroyed Springfield.
