    Not sure what you are talking about, my bad review and all the others that were there when I posted are still there, along with plenty more from today.

  • The March 29 update will not download, so I cannot open game....What can I do?
  • Had to d/l update 03/30/2018 in order to play. Nothing changed. Everything that was broke before still broken. I was excited for 30 seconds tho while it d/l-ed and updated. Thanks for nothing EA
  • Maybe my google play is buged or something like that but i see only 5stars ratings and positive comments,
    I can all day scroll down the comment list and there is not even one rating under 5stars or negative comment

    Huh? Which comments are you talking about?

    The comments about the cause of the issue being identified as corruption in server side variables, and the fix being eminent.
  • when you look at the reviews, you can change the sorting. If you change to newest ones first you will see several negative reviews.

    Me too ... So sad. I even called for a rollback yesterday and they told me they are not doing rollbacks anymore. Couldn't even try it if I wanted. Seems to fix some people and worth a try IMO.

    Just like any other company, it will depend on who you talk to.
    Tips for contacting EA:
    Phone or chat are better than email. If you can get a phone call during office hours for the EA support in Texas, that would give you the best chance of getting someone who can actually help you.
    Choose Technical Support issue.
    Always be polite. Would you help someone that cussed you out? No. Be polite.
    Explain your problem fully and make sure they know which glitch you are having.
    Make sure they know you are unhappy.
    If you have spent money in the game, tell them. You expect more from something you have paid for.
    Ask them to rollback.
    Ask them to upgrade your case to someone who can rollback your game or help you.
    If they try to send you to the forum, tell them you have already posted there.
    Tell them you will be contacting them every day until they rollback your game.
    If they still won't help you, be polite, hang up and call back.
    Be persistent. This is not a wait and see issue. It will take persistence on your part to get it fixed.
    TL;DR Keep calling back until you get someone to help you.

  • Thanks for your hard work trying to get EA to listen guys. I'm in the UK and haven't got the option to phone (not that I've found anyway). I'm resigned to this never being resolved now. I've got 4 open tickets and nothing has happened now for a week to try and get this sorted out. I'll keep going back to my game every few weeks hoping for an update but if they don't know how to fix it then what chance do we have? Template town is a no go for me. I've not spent all that money and time for that to happen. I'd rather have nothing...which is what I think I'll get. So disappointing. Small mercy for me is this has only happened to me in the last 3 weeks not the last year.

  • I have also had this problem since last year. The tree is back to the first size and I can't change it, my range of tapping is very small, my tire fire is also giving ribbons........for what? But the most annoying one is not being able to tap on the character icon in the top left-hand corner and sadly I find I really don't play as much as I used to and am very unhappy that after spending money on this game it seems the only option is to lose some hard earned content.......NO EA....not cool. I would appreciate you pulling your finger out and finding a fix to a problem that is not far off being "bugging" for almost a year. If it was one of your other games on say......a console....it would have been solved already. "Sigh" Sunday rant over! I'm also in the UK.

    I am having the same issues furniture had 0 but was red couldn't get characters to do daily task....finally stopped that task and went on to next....corner character will not respond have to go to capital building to find them...stopped doing that....collect my money on buildings tap on characters when I see the thumb and buy land ...apparently they don't care on us gamers for whatever reason. Not going to fight them...any new events come up on well just do what I can...don't bother with ea just play or delete years of playing only choices we have.

  • I too have finally been hit with this glitch. I have been playing TSTO since was it released. Over the years I have spent SO much money on donuts, not to mention all the time I've invested! For years I have heard people who work in the gaming industry complain about how corrupt EA's practices are. But this is the first time I have personally seen it with such clarity. One idea I had to try to get EA to acknowledge this glitch and start taking it's fix seriously is to file a complaint about it through my app store. I think the state of our games when affected by this glitch violates Google's TOS under their minimum/broken functionality term. I am reporting this violation to Google using the form found here:

    Maybe if Google gets enough complaints they'll contact EA and put some fire under their **** to fix it. Here's what I wrote in the explanation part of the form. That way if you want to file a complaint quickly you can just copy and paste.

    "I believe this game is in violation of Google's TOS under the minimum/broken functionality term. It has a major glitch that is well documented on the developer's (EA's) forum. For months EA has had players reporting this glitch (see forum post here: https://forums.ea.com/en/the-simpsons-tapped-out/discussion/112340/recent-issues#latest ), but the only way to get your game restored is to spend hours on the phone with customer service in order to find a rep knowledgeable and willing enough to go through the process of restoring your game. On many occasions I have purchased in-game currency with REAL money through my Google play accounts. However many of the items purchased with that in-game currency have been rendered either broken or missing due to this glitch. EA is currently only addressing this issue on an individual level when a player submits a complaint to them. They do not, to the best of my knowledge, have a fix in the works for it."

    If you use Apple I would recommend researching their TOS and figuring out how this glitch violates their terms. Then maybe share that info with the forum so others can easily report this violation. I can only assume pressure from Google and Apple would get EA's attention. Maybe if their vendors start complaining along with their users they'll fix this problem once and for all!!

    I have surrendered being able to do this event. It is very hard to walk away from 4 and a half years of playing but I don't see that we have any option if they don't fix it.

  • I opened another email support ticket, basically got blown off, but I clicked the resume button and essentially said my game wasn't fixed. This morning I got a very simular set of game notifications from when this started. Nothing was fixed, but I'm hoping someone was fooling around with my game. Anyone else get this today?
  • Just happened again, it's the valentine 2016 event and then Gill with the Duff Gardens offer.
