Mask drop rate is pathetic

In two days I only received 1 mask and I'm wondering if others have the same problem. This has been going on since the start of the event. I actually play every 4 hours because of insomnia so it's not for lack of trying on my end. It's really hard to make the daily task when you're required to send three crooks to a friend and I seem to get this task at least 4 days out of the week. Sorry if someone else posted something similar, I read back and didn't see anything.

I've received 2 in the last 4 days so it just a waste of time and probably best just to skip the the task if your not getting any of them.

Ya, just X it out. Also when you get masks you could save them just for DC and not for random handouts. Also also if you save a completed DC but not claim it, you won't get the same one.

Since "Send Crooks to friend's towns" is not claimed it won't come up again.

my collection rate seems to be about 3 one day and 8-10 the next day in both of my towns. if they are timing out after 4 hours then the chances of clearing them is slim anyway in a large town because it is easy to miss them. hopefully the drop rate improves as the event goes on. with the low rate of masks they don’t really help much

I honestly don't remember such a slow drop rate for an event and I've been playing since the beginning. When the drop rate was this bad in past events they usually issued a patch to raise it. Thanks for taking the time to reply.

At first I had a real shortage also. Now I usually have a surplus in the teens. Two things I have noticed; 1. dropping two crooks in the same neighbors town then tapping on the cops will often yield another mask. 2. Not tapping on large groups, but rather on singles, will increase the mask yield. They don’t really like to congregate, hit the wanderers.

I did not know that. That would explain when i x'd it out today i got a SH job for oscars.

I stopped worry about them after getting (and completing the Daily Challenge) requiring them. I'm up to 52 or so. Since it's not zero I thankfully don't really notice the low drop rate.

Also when your friend taps the crooks no paintings are yielding in the message box, just the amount of the award of the pillage.

I have dropped lots of them in neighbor's towns but I rarely get notifications that they were found, probably due to the 4 hour expiration time. It should be 8 hours at least. Also, I dropped 5 of them from my second town into my main town. When I immediately looked for them in my main town and couldn't find them, I went back to my second town and saw that I was able to drop 10. What happened to the 5 that I had just dropped only a few minutes before? I'm wondering if the 4 hour expirations are at pre-set 4 hour intervals?

I know I dropped some in your town early on but don't remember if I got a notice that you found them or not. I did find some you dropped last week. Lately, I've been giving what pitiful few I get to neighbors who are a bit behind, hoping they will find them in time. I'm still getting notices in my 2nd town that my main town found them and also from a few neighbors.

Guessing the game assumes you only have 2 neighbors with the drop rate
